Third floor common room [afternoon]

It was chilly and cloudy--not ideal tanning conditions--so Claudia wandered into the common room with her giant makeup case and haircare supplies.

She stuck a poster on the wall:

"GET A MAKEOVER BEFUR YOU'RE PARENTS ARRIVE. FAKE TATTOO'S WILL REALLY FREAK 'EM OUT!"

She flipped to some random soap opera and waited to see if anyone would take her up on her offer.

"Ack!" Claudia cried, tossing the remote in her hand.

Ooops.

Robin hopped nimbly out of the way. Hand on hips, he glared...well if he'd had eyebrows and the ability to narrow his eyes he'd be glaring. "Stop throwing things at me!"

"Stop sneaking up on me!" Claudia countered. "You're really short! And also a frog!"

Quite the observant one, she.

Well, okay she had a point there. "I didn't mean to sneak up on you."

"You should wear a bell or a helmet with a light on it or something," Claudia counseled.

"If I wore the helmet I'd be tempted to go caving."

"And there aren't any caves in the dorms," Claudia said. Which meant he wouldn't sneak up on her. Win! "You should definitely do that."

"There are the vents." Robin said thoughtfully. "Maybe the Gremlins would let me go exploring in there."

Claudia didn't look that optimistic. "Maybe. Oh, and if I catch you peeking at me in my room through the vent, I'm gonna throw more than just a coffee cup at you."

There was no way that Claudia was explaining the birds and the bees to a frog. Far too much wildlife involved.

"Just don't," she warned.
