Main Campfire, Saturday Evening

He wasn't going to admit that it was boredom that drove him out of his alcove and to the main campfire. He wasn't bored. He was just...without anything to do. Boredom he could have solved by sleeping. Nothing to do meant he wanted something to do and thus, he took himself to the main campfire. Despite the warmth, he lit the fire anyway. If anything, he could light his cigarettes on it.

Though, even he was intelligent enough to realize that was a really dumb idea and would only be tried if he got himself drunk. The snag in that idea was that he had no alcohol with him. Sad, really. He could have done with a nice bender.

Instead, he was just going to lay against a log and smoke for awhile. If he were some deep poet type, he'd call it stargazing. Since he wasn't that type, he was calling it relaxation. It worked for him.

[i declare this campfire open!]

"Public defender," Jennifer said. "Helping the helpless. That sort of thing."

"Do I hear a little sarcasm?" Jennifer asked, her eyebrow raised.

"Hey, around here, I have to ask," Jennifer said.

"I saw someone here pull a safe out of nowhere," Jennifer said. "So I'm trying to hedge my bets."

"Oh, no," Jennifer said. "A full safe. I'm not kidding you."

Jennifer put up her hands. "I'm only saying what I saw."

"One of the cabin campfires," Jennifer said. "It was Yakko."

"You'll know when you see him," Jennifer said. "He leaves quite an impression."

Jennifer pulled a little face, thinking his comment was a bit crass.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that," she said.

"I don't think he actually did that," Jennifer said. "It wouldn't have fit, anyway."

"I always liked those," Jennifer said. "Especially the elephant."

"You don't?" Jennifer retorted.
