Fiifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Night.

Leda had figured out how to use the TV. At least the basics of it. Right now there was a half empty bottle of...something. On the coffee table, and she was giggling uncontrolably at the movie currently on.

[Open!]

Eleanor had used up a fair amount of her tea satchels during the multi-cultural fair, but her room didn't offer her a great deal of counter space with which to work.

So, clad in a thin white linen dress, with a shawl wrapped around her shoulders, she padded barefoot down to the common room with her tea supplies.

She raised an eyebrow at Leda. "What are giggling at?" Then she noticed the TV. And then just stood there looking at it.

The moving picture box was quite fascinating, but she easily turned her attention away from it at Leda's ... statement.

"Have you been getting into that dragon's milk again?"

"What is ... this," she pointed to the strange box thing, "anyway?"

"Oh, so this is what Jack was talking about," she said, idly taking a seat nearby. "It's..." she tilted her head slightly, "certainly interesting."

"And no," she focused back on Leda, "the impression I got was that these things came about sometime after my own time."

Eleanor made a look of distaste. "That's rather morbid."

Teevee so far was not impressing her.

She got up and went over to the counter, sorting out various types of tea to place them in satchels.

"Oh, I did meet your big sibling. Have you met Jack yet?"

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-27 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Jack is certainly ... different." She wasn't sure why she seemed to be in a state of perputual confusion whenever he was around. Was it her? Or was it him?

"And what did he suggest?"

Eleanor looked over at Leda. "Is that wise?" She just had to ask.

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-27 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was just wondering how others might react to people being brought in. I mean... is there any kind of division there? Between Fae and those who aren't?"

It just seemed strange to her since magic was so secretive back in her own home.

"Oh, all right then. Just wanted to make sure that nobody was going to get hauled off in irons if they showed up," she smirked.

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-28 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
"It certainly sounds like an interesting place."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-28 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
She shrugged and focused back on her tea. "Maybe I'll come along if you do decide to persue that."

She said it as it wasn't a big deal, but honestly, she'd love to go. Eleanor was eager to see other places having been stuck in Broom for far too long.

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-28 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Would you like some tea? I'm working on putting together a few prepared satchels."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-28 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Lots," she grinned. "I like to blend herbs and things into the regular tea. This time I did blackberry, rosehips, orange and something I found at the store called guava. I've never heard of such a fruit before, but it smelled good."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-28 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, I have access to more things here than I would be getting at home."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-29 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Eleanor noticed but didn't say anything. She wondered if there was a reason Leda seemed to drink so much.

"Not so much, except for the guava. Many people back home have been using what they can find locally."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-29 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
"That can be arranged," she smirked.

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-29 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
She giggled a bit. "Well, I suppose the first thing to know is that the tea that comes in those little baggies isn't really tea."

Eleanor had encountered some since arriving and had promptly decided it was the most disgusting thing ever.

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-29 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Some foul word that would be improper for me to say," she grinned. "I'm not sure what they did to them, to be honest. Tea is pretty simple, so how they managed to muck it up, I can't possibly understand."

[identity profile] heartflames.livejournal.com 2009-05-29 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I shall have to look it up," she said with a nod.

And she should have long since been to the libray by now.

"Of course you may! What kind would you like?"
