Angela was bright enough to be saying inside today, thank you very much.

Since she was the worrying type, she was going to be in here, flopped out in front of the television, consciously not thinking about what friends of hers might be doing out there. If she knew people around here, there would be more than a few of them out doing the heroic thing.

She had popcorn (which she had impressively not burnt), and some very non-threatening cliched teen movie. Not a bad Friday night plan, all things considered.

Angela sighed, "I guess we'll stick with the boys for you, then." Not everyone was quite as adventurous as she was like that.

"Seriously, though, newbies. Catch their white knight services before someone else does."

"Just might do that," Peyton said thoughtfully.

"Someone in mind?" she asked, noting that attitude with a grin.

Peyton made a face. "Nah, I suck at this stuff."

She smiled over at Angela. "Maybe you should play matchmaker."

"I have a hot fake little sib?" she said. "Very Texan."

Oh, if she hadn't been very happily taken.

"Or, I know a very cute wizard..."

"Oooh, wait? Tim Riggins? God, he was hot," Peyton said with a grin. "And a wizard? Could be interesting."

"That's the guy," she said, nodding cheerfully. "He's happy to take of his shirt if you ask." Because that was important information. Yes, she had asked.

"And Harry's a really sweet guy. I need to coax him into the outside world a little more."

Peyton nodded thoughtfully. "They both sound interesting. I wouldn't be opposed to, you know, trying a date or two."

"Don't know how much the dating type Tim is," she said thoughtfully. "But then, you never can tell." And he was stil very, very hot, so...

"Yeah, well... worth a try," Peyton said. "I mean, all I'd lose is one night of my time, right?"

"And a night spent with a nice guy, is never a night wasted," she pointed out. "If nothing else, new friend. The more of those, the better."

"Good point," Peyton said with a smile. "Maybe you could put in a good word for me?"

"I will see what I can do, when I see them," she said, slouching back into the cushions.

"You are so lucky I'm taken, or I'd be keeping them for myself," she joked.

"Yeah, well, anytime you want to trade Hannibal in, you just let me know," Peyton drawled. "I'd be glad to comfort him in his time of loss."

"No time soon," she said with a laugh. "He's all mine, and staying that way if I can help it."

"Good for you," Peyton said. "It took the two of you long enough to get there!"

"But we are making the most of it now we're there," she said brightly.

His cabin mates might argue that this was not always a good thing.

Peyton smiled at her. "That's the way it should ne."

"Oh, it really is," she agreed with a contented sigh as she dug a hand into the bowl for more popcorn.

"And if it wasn't, I would be taking issue."

"And finding someone else," she teased.

Angela shook her head slightly with a little smile. Much as she joked about it, definitely wouldn't be her option of choice.

"I know," Peyton said, thinking about Jake. God, she missed him.

Why hadn't she found a way to convince him to take her along?

"I hope he's not being dumb and trying to wrestle alligators or anything," she said, pulling a face.

She would not put that sort of thing past him.

"I wouldn't put it past him," Peyton said thoughtfully.

"Neither would I," she sighed. "He's gone after zombies before, weird crocodile things would actually be less creepy."

Not that it made her any more comfortable with the whole thing.
