The Roof: Monday Mid-day-ish [6-1-09
Peyton hadn't really slept much - and her head was feeling miserable from everything she'd drunk. But hell, it's not like she had anywhere to be or anything to do till at least Thursday, so what difference did it make.
Thus the decision to deal with a hangover by more drinking. The relocation to the roof was so that so-called BFF's wouldn't be as likely to show up and not accept apologies and say nasty things that okay, maybe were totally true, but still.
In face, she'd actually drunk-dialed her Lucas and left some sort of long rambling incoherent message, but she'd deal with that later.
For now she had a water bottle mostly filled with vodka, the sun might or might not have been shining - it's not like she cared - and the roof was BFF-less.
[Open as roofs are.]

Nonetheless:
"I can go if you want to hang out here by yourself," she offered.

"That's not really a good thing. You've lost sensation? All over?"

"Is that... are you drunk?"
No judgment; she was just checking here.

Well, this wouldn't be the first time. She didn't have a problem with drunks when they didn't leave a mess for her to clean up.
"It's... kind of early. You okay?"

"So, um, how was your weekend? I heard you went on a trip?"

"Probably best I don't, but... sure."
She settled a little closer to Peyton.
"Well, it started with getting detention because someone else is a jerk."

Then, rubbing at her chin, she kept going.
"Anyway, I was kind of, um, curled up with Leto, you know Leto?" she only paused for a moment "and Dinah walked in and I didn't know they'd-- you know. And Dinah was my first friend here."
The way she said it meant it was important.

Peyton frowned. "So Dinah and Leto were together and now you and Leto are?"
no subject
"Not-- no. Not really. His culture has some weird things about relationships, but he's been really nice. He doesn't mind some of the weird things about me, so I thought--"
She was starting to wonder what she thought, a disturbing idea that was somewhat new. The world had been somewhat less complicated before boys.
"It doesn't bother me," and she wasn't lying, but it wasn't complete, "I mean, that he does that kind of thing with other people. But it did bother me that it obviously hurt someone. You know?"

"But she said some other things that have me thinking I might have really screwed up something with someone I really really like."
She blew out a breath.
"Or not. I don't know. I have to go find him, but I feel kind of-- I know I don't want to hear anything when I'm upset."
no subject
Oh, no, she didn't know anything about this, not at all.
no subject
"I really hope so."
Then she breathed out.
"Then," she continued with a wild roll of her eyes, trying to, if not lighten the moment to at least change gears, "I got a text message from my aunt that just.. hurt. My family's kind of crazy, but I thought things were at least okay.
"Apparently not."
She turned to Peyton with a dip of her head.
"So that was my weekend."
