Dorm laundry room, Thursday evening

Zayne had learned an important lesson: don't sleep in public here. He learned another lesson, too: sometimes ink doesn't want to come off of skin.

But right now he was able to get some time away from common rooms and roommates who wear very little clothing, and that made things... well, more peaceful if nothing else. He only had a few sets of robes and he couldn't wear them indefinitely without washing them (even if he did come from a galaxy where it seemed like people often only wore one outfit for years). So he was doing laundry. And the weird sounds the washer was making were more than enough to help distract him from thoughts that weren't proper for a potential Jedi and the fact that he had things drawn on his face. Instead, he could just focus on whether or not the machine was supposed to be making these noises. He was pretty sure it wasn't.

"This thing better not explode," Zayne said to himself. "That would ruin the peace."

[OOC: As open as a laundry room!]

With any luck, Zayne was significantly distracted by the horrible noises not to notice the loud shouting about honor or the bright flash of golden light on the other side of the door.

Rather than bringing someone who could help, it seemed Adora had sent She-Ra and her distinct lack of clothing back into the laundry room. "I understand someone here is in need of healing?"

"Yelling?" People in Fandom were far more attentive to these things. "It was nothing, friend. I am here now to save you from a terrible fate!"

A fate that involved kissing. Strange how she thought that terrible.

"Don't worry, Adora is safe," She-Ra told him, sheathing her sword. "I can save you with my healing power." She thought it would work, anyway, since his skin was technically injured.

Right! No Horde here. "Um... the usual reasons. She left something in her room and went back for it." Ahh, old standbys.

"I do. It does require me to place my hands on you." There were no specifications as to where. "And you might feel a slight tingle while the magic works. I say this as some people are not used to magical healing and have said it's surprising."

And you know, stranger danger, all that.

She-Ra stepped closer, placing one hand on Zayne's shoulder and the other against his cheek.

She took a moment, closing her eyes and breathing deeply, which caused a lot of things to happen with her scantily clad bosom.

"For the Honor of Grayskull. Let your wounds be healed!" She-Ra recited the words slowly, like she could burst into tears if Grayskull rejected her call for help. Of course it didn't, and there was a fantastic golden glow emanating with her hands and surrounding Zayne. When it passed, the hope was that the words and flowers would be gone.

She-Ra's eyes fluttered open, showing a bright blue hue just like Adora's.

She grinned, removing her hand from his face to verify the other side. "It worked! Now no one will try to kiss you unless you wish them to!"

It was an important distinction.

"Yes," she agreed, giving his shoulder a squeeze before stepping back with a little head tilt. "It's strange, I feel like I might have followed that magic marker's instructions." Zayne was lucky she was so capable of controlling herself. "Should you discover who drew on your face, I would be delighted if you'd share the information."

He asked interesting questions, this one. She-Ra was suddenly curious, "Were you hoping someone would follow the directions, friend?"

"Interesting, though no doubt whoever wrote that note on your face was hoping to be the one to follow through," She-Ra reasoned.

"A phrase like that leads me to believe there is something more going on than meets the eye," She-Ra informed him, using all the wisdom her 16 years could bring.
