Deck \ Sunday \ Afternoon \ June 7

When you spend several long (but very, very good) days in your (or someone else's) dorm room, you almost got the urge to go outside and make sure the sun was still there. So, that's what Alex was doing. It was warm but not mind numbingly hot and the sun was coming and going between clouds.

He was pleasantly tired and content with nursing a bottle of water (yes, water) and smoking every so often. And hey, at least he could remember the past several days. He'd had weeks where he couldn't remember much at all before. This was an improvement.

Alex was actually having a good few days. That was a surprise to him most of all.

Helen wandered out to catch a little sun and nodded at Alex.

Griff was not stalking his roommate, thank you, he'd just unfortunately found himself yet again where his roommate was outside of their room.

And yes, he'd heard radio and cringed a lot at it.

"Nice day for it," Griff remarked with a slight smile.

And Alex nodded back. Not big on talking when he didn't have to. Or he didn't know the other person.

"Which is why I'm out here," he said, actually returning Griff's smile. He'd heard radio too. He was barely resisting giving Griff a pat on the head. "Especially after all that time in the dorms."

She gestured to a chair near him to see if he'd mind her settling down there.

"It's a free deck," he said, shrugging one shoulder. "Up to you where you sit."

See, she could be polite when she chose.

Griff couldn't argue time in the dorms led to the need for sunshine. "Yeah, and thanks for being elsewhere." He couldn't not be polite.

Dinah had been happy to wake up in a lot more control of herself. Although she was going to have some awkward conversations in the next week or so, it wasn't anything she couldn't live with. She headed out to the deck to enjoy the sun, and nodded to the cute guy she didn't know. Who she didn't want to jump today. Yay. "Hey."

"Polite, right," he said and nodded. "Alex. Welcome to the deck."

"I found somewhere else to be." Mmm, Rose. "Did you have fun?" Only polite to ask.

"Hey," Alex replied, giving Dinah a nod. "Welcome to the deck, population...a few."

Oh how his ears gave him away every time. "I uh, have nothing negative to say on the matter." Except that he might need to go to the clinic.

"Nice to meet you, Alex." She shrugged out of her cover up and stretched out, closing her eyes to enjoy the sun more fully. "Oh, it is nice to not have that constant craving."

Dinah grinned, and said, "Nobody needing the whole deck, right?" She kicked off her flip-flops and wandered to the edge, downwind of Alex. "I'm Dinah. We got a ton of people out here a couple times, for parties."

"See, it's much nicer to touch breasts then it is just to see them, isn't it?" Alex asked, unable to resist. "They're soft."

"I think everyone's going to be recovering for awhile," he observed, glancing back at the dorms. "Alex. Nice to meet you, Dinah."

"Hey, Griff," Dinah said, wandering over after a bit, giving him a smile. "How's it going?"

Judging by last night's Radio broadcast, very well. But judging by that, she'd had five threesomes and Eric vanderWoodsen was still a mouse somewhere.

"What, the sex thing?" he asked, glancing briefly over. "I dunno, I kind of liked it."

Not that it was any different from a normal day. He just had more control now.

"Shut it, Karev," Griff replied, voice going quietly embarrassed. "She's a nice gel." And yes, they had been very soft and nice. He'd just die over here for a moment.

"Yeeeah," Dinah said, trying not to laugh, and stretching her arms over her head for a second before concentrating on her feet on the deck. "Although the Radio made it sound way, way worse than it could have been, I think." She looked reflective. "Mr. Deadpool is kind of traumatizing that way."

"It's been interesting at the very least, Dinah," Griff replied, prepping to tease her a bit. "I hear you've become quite popular this week."

She glanced over at him. "I enjoyed the sex part. It had been some time for me. It was the feeling a bit out of control part I disliked."

Helen didn't like feeling out of control in her day to day life. Reminded her too much of Walking the Bounds.

"I know she is," he said and smirked smugly. "You're not really one for guy talk, are you? You didn't like...do anything without a condom, did you?"
