Dorm Roof, Saturday Evening

As much as Griff hoped there was no real need to be prepared for problems in Fandom, he'd spent the afternoon acquiring jump sites around the island that would likely only be useful if there was need.

His last stop was the dorm roof. Finding it was a pleasant evening, Griff took a seat and got out his notebook to start sketching the Fandom skyline in the summer light.

It seemed June had its perks, after all.

It was a sketch of the visible rooftops and towers. Not terribly done and showing a good deal of practice with getting buildings right. "I couldn't let the late light go to waste."

"You're not bad," Jack said. "And the late light is wonderful -- and we aren't even to the longest days for another week."

He smiled. "How have you been?"

"Getting used to things. Have you realized the semester's almost over?" Griff told him, looking amazed by the idea.

Jack hadn't until just then. "Only two more class sessions," he said, sounding surprised. "I hadn't realized we'd been here that long."
