"The fire drill last week had a good premise," Arthur began, as soon as everyone had gathered. Even if he'd disagreed with the execution of it. "We'll continue mapping out the island today, although our current task is far more simple. In the event of a sudden attack, we must be aware of the easiest and quickest trails leading to a gathering point or a way of getting off the island. When the alligators invaded, many of us met up at the park - that's one location. There are only two ways off the island: either by boat from the docks, or by causeway. I'd like you all to go to one of these three locations by use of the route that seems fastest to you. Then return to us, and we'll compare exit strategies."

Leto had managed to acquire copies of a map of the island. "These might be helpful when you decide on a route, and will enable you to communicate your choice with precision to everyone else." He held the maps up, and offered everyone to take one.

He nodded at Leto once, then turned back to those gathered. "In case of another invasion, we should meet in the park if the threat is dispersed, or at the gates when it seems to be more cohesive. That way, we'll be able to coordinate our strategy accordingly." He nodded at ~~shamelessly modded~~ Zack as well, and let the exercise commence.

"...Whoa."

See, this was Zack, in absolute agreement that Worf's way was pretty darn effective. He was also looking around, working on getting his bearings again. The causeway?

... Whoa.

"What just happened, there?"

"Our bodies were transformed into energy and then transported to this location where it was reassembled," Worf explained. "It is a well used technology where I am from."

Oh, well in that case.

"I like it," Zack decided. Possibly because he was pretty much the personification of energy in the first place, the bouncy thing. "And you said you have this thing set up to do this in different places around the island?"

"Dorms, school grounds, clinic, causeway and the park," Worf replied. "I can add additional locations as needed or have myself taken back to my shuttle."

"Handy," Zack grinned. There was a little bounce to go with that. "Is there some kind of limit to the amount of people it can move at the same time? Can it take people from different places and bring them all together at once?"

"My shuttle will allow up to four people to be transported at a time but yes that is possible," Worf replied. "Though I would need a way to track the person in particular. If they have a cellphone on them with a GPS capability I should be able to track them that way."

"Mine does," Zack offered helpfully. "If you need someone to try it on. I wouldn't mind trying that thing again, especially if it means we might be able to save lives during an invasion by tracing their phones or something."

"And by transporting wounded directly to the clinic for care," Worf replied. "Or if we have located an enemy stronghold we would be able to send in a team for a surprise attack."

"More effective than jumping blindly into the sewers," Zack noted, grinning amiably. "That could come in really useful, especially if the enemy is organized enough to set up some sort of barricade."

Worf nodded in agreement. "If such a battle does happen again, I will be ready to provide assistance and training with these systems. Shall we return?"

"Let's!"

Okay, he was a little excited about the prospect of doing that all over again. Because honestly. Transformed into energy and back again! This was TOO COOL.
