Danny just wanted quiet. He'd thought about buying a roll of duct tape, but it didn't seem like it would stop anything if he decided to sing again.

And there it was, he could feel the music swell up, and he tried to get his hands firmly over his mouth before he could open it, but they were suddenly swept into a white-boy dance as he began to sing once more.

As soon as it was over, Danny buried his face in his hands. "Oh my God, I hate today," he muttered, hoping that no one had noticed that.

Alex was still thoroughly amused by what had gone on in Tactics class. She had a feeling that singing thing was contagious. And happening upon the tail end of Danny's performance, she guessed right.

"Guess it got you too," Alex offered in lieu of a greeting. She had yet to burst into song and was hoping she might be spared.

"Yeah," Danny said, really wanting to disappear now. "Aren't you in Tactics with Rimmer?"

"Tactics, yeah," Alex nodded, a grin appearing on her face as she thought of the performance they'd witnessed in class. "Today's class was... something."

"Yeah... it was." Danny had hid in the back of the classroom. "Something... else."

He was almost afraid of giving himself anything that could possibly prompt another performance.

Alex opened her mouth to respond but song lyrics came out instead.

Alex promptly clamped a hand over her mouth to halt the singing. And here she thought she was actually going to avoid breaking out into song. She should've known better.

"Um... pardon?" Danny was just glad that he didn't feel the urge to join in.

"I have no idea what that was," Alex shook her head.

And the hand went back into place because she wasn't about to risk belting something else out, no thank you.

"Glad to see it's not only a guy thing today," he said, which must have been the magic phrase, because suddenly he was off again.
