Third Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening
Kate had slept late, and then spent most of the day reading and talking to her mother on the phone. It had been that sort of a day. But now she had finally wandered in to the common room in search of company, and was microwaving a pizza and drinking cranberry juice.
Listening to the radio the past few days had left her feeling slightly on edge, which meant that when her cellphone suddenly buzzed in her pocket to inform of a text message, it was no surprise that it actually made her jump. Unfortunately, it also made her spill the juice over the floor and down the front of her hoodie.
”Great. Just awesome,” she muttered, looking down at her clothes. There was no way she could pass the big red stain as a part of the print. And the hoodie had just been washed! Awesome, only not.
She sighed and put the glass down, before getting some paper and starting to clean up the juice from the floor.
[Ooopen, as common rooms are! Come freak out randomly over stains that vaguely resemble blood! Had to do a little coincidence echo of something from yesterday in the BDE.]

He waved at the inhabitant...and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the stain, mouth open.

...Well that was just rude. Not like a little bit of juice deserves that kind of an expression. "What?" she asked, sounding mildly annoyed.

She looked okay. Maybe it was someone else's blood.

She got up. "Why the hell would I need to go the clinic?"
no subject
"Because of the blood?" he stated, pointing at her hoodie. In his very untactful way, of course.
no subject
"Blood? What blood?"
She looked down to where he was pointing. There was a pause before she looked up again. "...That's cranberry juice," she stated, slowly.
no subject
Sure. Blame lighting for that.
[What are your feelings on Jack taking a vamp!nap in front of her?]

"It's okay. I was startled by my phone and I spilled some."
[Oh, I'm all up for freaking her out! Nap away! :D]

Jack slumped over, feeling very sleepy (http://community.livejournal.com/fh_wishverse/3255.html?thread=1132727#t1132727)
[Thanks!]

She kneeled next to him, unsure whether she should try to wake him up.

He was however recovering from a recent existential crisis.
"Do you need any help?"

And when she looked up, she didn't scream or jump or anything like that. Instead, she grinned. "Oh, hi. You must be the one my sibling wanted to use as proof of Fandom's weirdness." Which was an odd sort of greeting.

She paused. And remembered what she had heard on the radio. And grimaced. "...Oh. Right. I remember."
