The Deck; Wednesday After Classes

Clad in her super cute, pink sequined bikini and faux furred cardigan, Elle lounged perkily, crossing her three inch heeled feet at the ankles. Bruiser peeked his little head out of the designer tote near the foot of Elle's chair. Folding open the lastest Cosmo, she flipped through it while peeking around to see if anyone noticed her.

Seriously. How could anyone not notice Elle Woods?

With a cute little sigh, she picked up her cold glass of lemonade and took a sip. It was super delicious and made her lips pucker slightly, just as real lemonade should.

It was true; Elle Woods was kind of hard to notice. Granted, Turtle had been keeping an eye out for her anyway, but all that pink definitely made her job a lot easier. Her head tilted slightly.

"If it's chill enough for a cardigan," she proposed, mostly rhetorically, because she could, "then why the bikini and not something warmer?"

"Also, hi, Elle." She waved. "Hey, Bruiser." Dog got a wave, too. She could handle dogs when they were little and fit in tote bags and weren't trying to crush you and drool on your face.

Elle gave Turtle an adorably cute grin and answered quite easily, fluffing the fur around her neck. "It's totally for looks, Turtle. It goes well with the pink layered sequins and the combination of the two are so super eye-catching, I could not avoid putting them both together. And I was right since you sweetly commented on them, which thank you by the way!"

She totally took the question as an intriguing complimentary one. Uh-huh.

"Hi, Turtle! Please join me! I have a pitcher of lemonade if you'd like a glass? It's super delicious."

Turtle had left it open, so she was glad to see that Elle was going to take it in a positive light. It just made things easier for Turtle.

"Ooh, I don't think I can say no to lemonade," she admitted, pulling up a seat for herself on the deck. "Especially if it's super delicious. How've you been, Elle?"

"I've been kind of great, thanks!" she replied as she poured Turtle a tall glass and handed it over. Kind of wasn't totally, but Elle wasn't one to lie. "How've you been? Omigod your hair is super cute!"

Chloe had been coming back from a walk in the preserve when she saw Elle. She had never seen anything like what the other girl was wearing -- so naturally it caught her attention.

"D-don't the sequins itch?"

"Oh, hi, Chloe!" Elle waved cutely, grinning wide. "Omigod no, not at all. Sequins on the outside, silky soft on the inside. Isn't it cute? Here, come sit by me and tell me all about how you've been lately and any kind of super true gossip you've heard." Because gossip is not always true omigod.

"G-gossip?" Chloe asked as she sat down next to Elle. "I h-haven't heard any gossip." It was true, she hadn't. She spent a lot of time hiding in her room. "E-every one s-seems to have w-woken up but a lot of people still s-seem s-sad."

"That's good in a way, isn't it? I mean if you hear gossip sometimes it's hard to differentiate between true gossip and fake gossip and speaking for myself, I'd rather hear nothing but the true kind. I'm just not one to judge," she said, grinning as she carried on.

"Oh, I know. It is so sad what others went through isn't it? I am so thankful everyone woke up even if they're having to deal with the aftermath of the dreams they dreamt. Makes me feel helpless and that's just not a positive feeling."

Chloe wasn't very good at figuring out the different kinds of gossip. She had been the smallest one in her class at her last school, and then tormented at Lyle House by Tori and her rumors, so she was a bad judge of things.

"I'm g-glad they woke up s-safely. I just wish there was something w-we could do to h-help them all."

Elle would totally have championed Chloe if she'd gone to school with her. Stupid mean girls who are just stupid and no doubt having a terrible fashion sense.

"I think the best thing we can do is keep being positive and cheerful," she said sincerely. "Maybe bake them something, ask them out, see if they'd like to go shopping. Throwing parties is always super fun too! Oh, I have lemonade! Would you like a glass, Chloe? It's super delicious."

Chloe nodded, accepting the lemonade. "T-thank you, Elle."

She thought about the things Elle had mentioned and none of them were really anything she had much experience with. She was never one of the in-crowd so most parties were a mystery to her.

"Y-you know how to b-bake?"

"Aw, you bet," she said and poured her friend a tall glass and handed it over. Chloe was so super cute and shy, Elle just wanted to squeeze her.

"I know how to bake some things. Like muffins and pies, and cookies and cakes. Not like enough to fill a recipe book or anything omigod, but enough I suppose to say I like it. Do you do any baking?"

Chloe shook her head. "No. I-I don't know how to cook," she said honestly. "And I've never t-tried much with s-shopping or p-parties, either."

Elle sucked in air and that gesture made her pink sequined clad chest expand most fabulously. Well, if a boy was around who noticed such things that is. "No parties? No shopping? Chloe! We are going to get together and do all of these things! I can't believe it. Why no parties?"

Chloe pointed to herself as if it should be obvious. "Not p-popular enough. T-too shy and you c-can hear me s-speak." She shrugged. Yes it had hurt and sometimes it still did when she thought about what it was like at school before her breakdown. But it was what it was.

Robin had gone out for a bit of surfing and took a detour by the deck on his way to his room just to see if anyone was about.

Oh, wow. Elle was really pretty.

"Hi Elle!" he said cheerily. "How are you liking Fandom?"
