Roof; Saturday Evening
Good deed done for the day (and boy did he hope Merlin loved his new name), Chuck decided to do something he hadn't done for a while and go up to the roof. He shouldn't have been slacking. It was his roof, after all. If he didn't make constant appearances then people would get the idea that it was their roof. And that just wasn't true.
Chuck was lounged back against the edge of the roof and was watching the sun go down. It's be all poetic and stuff if he wasn't lighting up a joint at the same time.
[The roof is open, of course]

He had given up on the roof being private long ago. Not that he minded that.

It was like the beginning of one of those anti-drug commercials.

"Have you been well?" she asked.

"I can't complain," he said, taking another hit of the joint. "Glad it's been quieter around here. Last week sucked."

"Sorry you had to go through it."

Liar.
"If there's anything I can do to help you feel better, let me know," he said. And because Chuck knew she was an empath, he did his best to give himself the warm fuzzies, hoping she'd feel it too. That's how that worked, right?

Raven almost smiled. "Thank you," she said. "I am trying not to dwell on it. It is better to think of more pleasant things than linger in memories."

Hey, Chuck figured he was heading towards making Rachel feel better the best way he knew how.

"When I've been having a rough time I've always found being, ah, intimate with another person made things a lot better," Chuck told her, reaching out to brush his fingers against her wrist. "I don't think anything can beat it, really."

"I do wish to experience good feelings," she said, "but I cannot risk losing control. And I have never...." She trailed off on that thought and just blushed instead.

He want to circle his fingers around Rachel's wrist lightly. "Someone who would take care of you."
It had been a while since he's talked to someone like this and it was almost scary how quickly he fell back into it.

She wasn't exactly pulling away, though, because she liked what she was feeling from Chuck.

He really did want to make her feel better. Or, at least, he did when he started this. Now it was more about beating a challenge.
Somewhere a few floors down Sam Winchester was bitchfacing disapprovingly and he didn't know why.

The air was cool on the roof but Raven was feeling very very warm now. "I know I should not," she said, "but I cannot deny that part of me wants to know what those feelings are truly like, and not just sense them from others."

Raven nodded. "Where?" she said.

She lifted one hand and hesitantly reached out to touch Chuck's shoulder, then drew it down his arm. "You do not have a roommate, do you?" she said shyly.

"Yes," she said breathlessly. "Very lucky."

If he was a better person he would have already called this a win for himself and would have stopped this in order to avoid causing this girl some emotional damage. But he wasn't a good person, no matter how hard he was trying to turn over a new leaf.
Looks like he'd have something to confess in church after all.
