The Roof, Sunday Afternoon
After a week spent hiding recuperating in her room, Emma was starting to go insane. There was only so much sleeping or reading she could do while staring at the same four walls, and the powers-hangover she'd had from her 'adventure' was finally starting to fade enough to make going outside seem appealing.
Pack of Gitanes in-hand, she fled to the roof. The fresh air and sunshine were exactly what she needed after so much time indoors, and a girl had to feed the nicotine addiction sometime.
[Open roof, open post, yes!]

"Afternoon, lass," he said, heading over to the edge of the roof and looking out towards the town.

"Hello yourself," she answered, watching him curiously. "Looking for anything in particular?"

"Good to see you made it back," he said by way of greeting. Not that he doubted it since he hadn't heard anything but nice to see for himself. "And that you still like the roof."

Of course, he noticed immediately that he wasn't alone, and he saw no reason not to be polite.
"Good afternoon," he said, nodding to Emma.

"Afternoon," she agreed pleasantly, raising her cigarette in greeting. He looked vaguely familiar, in a 'seen him around sort of way'.

People who had been useful there would probably be similar here.

Somehow, the other girl didn't strike her as a nicotine addict. Too serious.

She had no patience for people who whined about the smoke and were just trying to force their own preferences on people, but she tried to be considerate of those who did have an actual reason not to be near it.

"Hey, Emma," she said, greeting the girl with a smile and a little wave.

Emma had just let him try to smoke for the first time.
