The Roof [Tuesday, Evening]
Week and a half as a cat, and being up here with a fag in hand was one of the big things she'd missed. That and being able to drink... and maybe a few other things.
But yesterday she'd had Alex unknowingly taunting her with the idea of cigarettes, and, okay does it really surprise anyone this was the first place she came?
It was going to take her a little time to get back into the human mindset where she wasn't all cutesy and purring and sitting up here on the edge of the roof for a smoke would get her a good part of the way, she hoped.
Fucking island.
[[It's a roof, and completely open.]]

Effy paused a moment, and shrugged. "Used to read to my brother." Distracted him enough to help him get sleep.

"He said so," she answered. "Couldn't do it himself, so I did."

"Got hit by a bus," she said, as casually as it was possible to make a statement like that. She'd been right there watching. "It takes some recovery."

"Maybe I'll try reading," he said, having really no...good response for that sort of thing. He wasn't going to give platitudes or hugs or anything forced like that. "He all right now?"

If she was honest, she knew Tony was never really going to be the same again, but she'd done quite enough sharing for one evening.
"What's the distraction been so far?"

It was possible she was intending to give herself a nicotene overdose to make up for last week.

Well, it wasn't like she was go to throw him into any walls in this reality, at least.

Effy quirked a smile and swung her legs over the right side of the roof edge to make her way over.
"How come I'm the one has to move?" She'd been here longer.

It was much easier to just talk about something easy and mundane and stupid than it was to talk about all those issues they had between them.

"What, you want more reliable confirmation?" she asked, smirking.
