Fourth Floor Common Room [evening]

After discerning that the men of Fandom were getting in touch with their feminine sides today, through her interaction with Worf this morning and a quick -- overwhelming, but thankfully quick -- mental scan of the dorms, Sookie made her way out to the common room with a mission in mind.

First, she had obtained copies of a few movies -- The Journal was where she was starting, but she figured that a little social experiment about whether chick flicks would appeal to the boys in their new bodies was worth attempting. She'd brought out tissues, too, considering that she knew she'd need them, if no one else. She'd heard about this movie.

Secondly, she had a bag of little individually-wrapped chocolates. Again, social experiment. She was just curious. And completely willing to share.

Griff had bathed (for a very long time) and conditioned and combed and was wearing clothes that he wouldn't tug at and feeling a little more human when he wandered into the common room.

And then he saw Sookie. "Oh bloody hell!"

"...evening," Sookie said, blinking a little at that greeting. "Are you a boy-who's-a-girl, or always shaped like that and we've just never met?"

She wasn't touching the swearing.

"Boy, yeah," he said, torn between having a seat and getting over his issues and fleeing down the stairwell and hiding from vampires he'd stabbed in the back. "You're always a gel, right?" Might as well confirm things.

She nodded. "I'm Sookie. Chocolate?" She held out the bag, curious about the twitchiness but staying in her own head, politely.

Tara was wandering ... well, because she was, and she noticed the movie when she came up to the fourth floor. She took a spot on the floor to watch.

"I love this," she offered, with a shy glance to the blond girl to make sure she didn't mind company.

"Griff," he sighed, sucking it up and walking into the room stiffly. At least there was chocolate. "What's on tonight?"

"I've never seen it!" Sookie replied with a grin. "Want some chocolate?"

"The Journal," she told him happily. "I haven't seen it before, but it's supposed to be this real sweet love story and stuff. And really sad." She gestured to the tissues.

Zayne made his way to the common room, still not terribly comfortable in his new, impressively soft skin. But hey, when did mild embarrassment ever stop Zayne Carrick from trying to be social? Never, that's when.

"Good evening," he said to the room.

"Oh god," he said, eyes going wide. "I'm not really a gel, you know."

And he would not be crying, thanks.

"Sure," Tara answered, reaching her hand out for a wrapped piece. "I th-thought everyone had seen it. Like it was a requirement."

She peeped up at Sookie. "I'm Tara."

"You said as much," she giggled. "Not really a fan of the new body?"

She could taunt. She hadn't had to deal with it yet.

He was going to eat chocolate and mope while using his rack to hold the wrappers.

"No, and I'm praying it doesn't come with a predisposition to care about movies like this."

"Hiya!" Sookie called cheerfully. "Are you normally a girl, or is today extra-special for you?"

She liked not peeking into their heads to see which was right. It was like a game!

Hannibal had to get out and flaunt his hotness so it was so convenient his common room was busy tonight.

"Hey, Sookie," he said, not even explaining the appearance.

"Sookie," she offered, smiling down at her. "I guess that answers my question 'bout whether you're normally a boy. And I just haven't seen it 'cause I'm from 1999, and our big chick flick requirement was like, that movie with ship sinking and all. I hadn't gotten 'round to this since coming to Fandom."

"And who are you normally?" she asked, smiling over at the girl who she didn't recognize.

"To be honest, that's why I'm watchin' it," Sookie admitted. "To see if the estrogen in y'all is gonna make you like girly movies."

She tilted her head, and commented, "Interesting use of your new accessories." She'd never thought to use her breasts as a little...area like that.

"You don't recognize me?" he asked, pretending to be hurt. "Can't imagine why!"

"Extra-special," Zayne said. "Don't tell me you can't figure out who I sm."

He felt the robes were probably a dead giveaway.

He shook his head at her sociology project and resumed with the candy. "They're like a little shelf," he said. "Has to be some use, right? Since I'm not feeding small children."

"The actress in the b-boat movie is really pretty," Tara said.

She was ... vaguely aware there was a boy in it, yes.

"This one is sappy and sort of silly, but it makes me cry. I like it."

"Neither'm I, but I never thought of that," she said. She should've. She had some pretty big shelving space. "It'll all fall off when you get up, though."

"I like how he climbed up the Ferris wheel," Sookie told her, smiling. "It's so romantic."

No one had ever climbed a Ferris wheel for her. She totally wanted that, now.
