Fourth Floor Common Room; Saturday Afternoon

Chuck was purposely hanging around a floor that was not his own today, doing his best to avoid that little sleepover thing that was going on. That was definitely not his thing. So he was sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table, rolling joints for the week. Like you do on your average Saturday. He was also watching the Discovery Channel because there was A Haunting marathon on.

The reenactments on this show were hilarious. Almost worse than the Unsolved Mysteries ones.

"What in the world is that?" Triela asked as she paused in the common room.

"What's what?" Chuck asked, sounding kind of dumb and muffled because he was mid-lick on a joint.

"This looks awful even for American television."

"Oh yeah, this show is terrible," Chuck agreed. "But it's good for a laugh."

"I actually think this may be too bad to be entertaining." Triela actually paused and frowned, as if she were thinking about watching to find out if that were really the case.

"Oh come on, the reenactments are priceless," Chuck told her. "The actors are all terrible. I always lose it when the housewife inevitably tries to exorcise the ghost by walking around the house reading from the Bible."

Happens every damn time.

"She, of course, only makes the ghost angrier. Which is displayed by lights flickering on and off and ugly lamps falling to the floor."

"And... someone paid to make this show?"

"Yeah. Sad, isn't it?" he asked with a smirk. "The sadder this is that they're based off of 'true' stories. People are so dumb."

"No argument from me on that front." Someone was really dang cynical.

"At least they are nice enough to allow their stupidity to be filmed for our entertainment," Chuck said.

"You get a lot of entertainment from watching people make fools of themselves?" Not that that bothered her, it was just that she didn't see the appeal.

Chuck shrugged. "When I get bored enough, yeah. Sometimes it gets annoying, like with reality shows. Just so happens today there was nothing else on TV."
