Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Afternoon

Now that Zack was officially done with classes for the summer, it was time for a little getting out and about and being social. It was also, Zack decided, the perfect time to get the gerbil that Deadpool had given him out for some exercise.

And that was why, armed with a hamster ball and a bunch of notebooks, Zack was hard at work constructing the most epic gerbil floor-maze the second floor common room had ever seen!

Poor, poor Mr. Winkles.

"I dunno," Zack mused, "you'd probably wear a SOLDIER uniform alright, if that was all you had to wear."

A pause for consideration.

"Labels are good anyhow, though. Shirts and pants are one thing. It'd be way too weird to end up swapping off underwear."

"It would," he agreed with another laughs. "Uniforms, I could do. If I looked good in them, even better. Boxer shorts or whatever you wear, that'd be a little strange even if no one else but you, me and...Layla knew."

Because she knew stuff.

"She knows stuff," Zack agreed, laughing. "That would be a little on the awkward side, right there."

It would!

"I guess putting all-new underwear into bags like that would make more sense, anyhow. That way, anyone stuck naked could stumble across them and they wouldn't feel weird about putting them on."

"Sounds like the makings of a plan forming," Hannibal noted, rubbing his chin. "Because seriously, this island seems to love to make the people naked, whether via animal transformations, washing machine strikes, gremlins or girls with sticky fingers."

"My clothes turned into a person that one time," Zack added. "If Fandom can find a way to leave you nude and making a dash for clothing, I think it will."

"I had some...magazines turn into people that time," he said, still a little uncomfortable with that. "They were friendly."

"My uniform got cozy with Deadpool's swords," Zack offered. There was a total note of sympathy in there, honest. "I was chased out of my own room so that they could have some... uh... Alone time."

"My magazines got cozy with Chuck's scarf," he shared. "And Chuck himself."

"Chuck slept with your magazines," Zack echoed incredulously. "Okay, Deadpool's swords were hitting on me, but that was weird. It's someone else's stuff."

"Yeeeeeeeah," he said and laughed ruefully. "I couldn't really stop them, though. I wasn't about to go off and sleep with them."

"They're reading material," Zack agreed. "That's really not what they're for."

He shuddered a little.

"My uniform said an awful lot of interesting things about how it was usually draped over my naked body. Uh. I don't wear that one anymore."

"Yeah, I sort of tossed those magazines," he commiserated. "I really didn't to be reading those after that."

"Leave it to Fandom to ruin the stuff you really like, huh?"

Oh, Fandom.

"Guess that's part of the charm of this place."

"Just means I have to find something better," he laughed. "Charming and challenging."

"Something that would be less horrifying if it were to become human," Zack decided. "Which is almost an excuse to take up some weird hobby, like knitting. Just to be safe."

He could picture a human ball of yarn, now. It resembled his grandmother.

"See, the knitting sticks becoming human would concern me," he said. "What if they became like swordsman?"

"That can't be too bad," Zack noted, grinning and crossing his arms over his chest. "I'm a swordsman. I think I'd have more experience than a pair of knitting needle things."

"Yeah, I guess just about anything weapons wise could be combated in this place," he mused. "There's a lot of variety with that sort of thing."

"Unless it's the weapons that change," Zack decided, shrugging. "Like Deadpool's swords. Those two were just insane. I think they killed my uniform, man."

"At least you didn't have to watch them kill your uniform?" Hannibal said, trying to look on the bright side.

"... You know, you're right? I'm actually really, really glad I missed that," Zack decided.
