Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Afternoon

Now that Zack was officially done with classes for the summer, it was time for a little getting out and about and being social. It was also, Zack decided, the perfect time to get the gerbil that Deadpool had given him out for some exercise.

And that was why, armed with a hamster ball and a bunch of notebooks, Zack was hard at work constructing the most epic gerbil floor-maze the second floor common room had ever seen!

Poor, poor Mr. Winkles.

[Open, as common rooms tend to be!]

Kaylee didn't know what 'cumbersome' meant, but there was no time to dwell on things like that! "But, y'know, all that drinkin' would prolly just make 'em real likely to wanna fight! They're prolly mean."

"I remember," she said, wide-eyed. "They're real pushy lil' things, ain't they?"

"Popples an' Mr. Winkles is scrappy, though," Kaylee declared. "Even if they're lots more noble an' won't stoop to squirrelly levels!"

It was okay. That was likely what Popples was up to, up in Kaylee's room.

"They're fightin' on the right side. Everyone knows that good is gonna win against evil drunk squirrels any day!" Kaylee declared.

"All th'other...lil' critters are gonna look up to them!"

So, so delusional.

"I think they deserve as much!"

And cheerful. So cheerful.

[adios!]

"There'll be songs an' stories 'bout 'em," Kaylee said, nodding solemnly.

Because rodents tell stories. And sing.
