3rd Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

Bobby was up and halfway dressed before he remembered that it was, oh yeah, break week.

Going back to sleep at this point would just be kinda silly, he felt, and so he wandered out to the common room and flopped down on the couch with a bowl of cereal as he flipped through the channels.

Man, weekday morning television sucked. It was mostly morning talk shows, and the only cartoons were for like, five year olds. Bobby required cartoons that were at least rated Y7.

[ooc: yeah, so it's a bit of method RP. I have no idea why I'm up this early.]

Sookie hadn't forgotten that it was break week; she was just a naturally early riser.

So she came toddling out sleepily in her pajamas, already going through the motions of making coffee before she noticed Bobby. "Morning! Anything good on TV?"

"I don't know what that second one is at all," she admitted, "but it sounds interesting, at least!"

"...isn't it a bit early for that?" Sookie asked, frowning as she got some coffee.

Sookie eyed him. "No? It's not?"

It was way, way too early for quests.

Alex had risen early since she had work and decided to hit up the common room for a snack, before heading out.

"Morning," she added in a wave to the greeting. Alex was in need of some caffeine, oh yes.

"Cartoons win over morning talk shows any day," Alex chuckled, helping herself to some coffee. She'd fill up her thermos, once she finished her first cup.

"Monkeys make things funnier," Alex decided. She wondered if Fandom might throw monkeys at them during the next phase of weirdness. Might be kind of fun. "I'm Alex, by the way. I don't think we've met?"

She'd seen him a couple of times but couldn't remember ever really talking to him before now.

Gabrielle still looked groggy and cranky and a lot more like Katchoo than either of them would admit to when she shuffled up to the fourth floor in search of something to eat that didn't have a disturbing amount of brightly colored sprinkles on it. (She might have developed a junk food addiction, but there was no way Fruity Pebbles were going in her mouth. Nothing edible should be those colors.)

"Oh," she said, brightening just a fraction. "Hello, Bobby!"

She'd meant to wait until now to try and straighten her hair, honest.

Gabrielle gave him an odd look and grabbed a cushion from the couch for defensive purposes, just in case. "Why is someone targeting the audience?"

[identity profile] ancientbschamp.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"And then the parents go to buy those things, and they're easy pickings for whoever came up with this diabolical plan," Gabrielle concluded. "That is . . . fiendishly clever. Which is not to say that I approve of these things, but it is sheer elegance in its simplicity impressive in its twisted way."

Gabrielle? Inhabit the same world as everyone else sometimes, please.

Diana was generally not a morning person, but she had a cat who needed to get fed and who had tried to claw her eyes out once already. "Are toddlers attacking?" Yeah, so this wasn't her common room. Not that she cared.

[identity profile] oops-mbad.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It's Diana. Saying creepy but accurate things by accident is her talent. "Ugh. What's the alternative? Bitchy housewives beating each other with Tupperware?" Diana sleepily stumbled through the kitchen in search of cat food and cereal. This had the potential to not end well.

"Oh, I meant the real ones." She studied the cat food and cereal and blinked repeatedly, trying to figure out which one was which.
