First Floor Lobby: Wednesday Morning

Ah. Genderswap day. Layla was up early this morning in the lobby setting up bin of underwear, jeans and t-shirts for the newly awakened guys to partake of.

Everything was organized according to style and then size for the convenience of anyone coming down stairs in a panic of some sort.

Layla then settled down in a sunny spot (please not that her skin was not sparkly, thank you very much) and started reading Ayn Rand for probably the one hundredth time.

Really she's not so much reading as watching people flail like crazy.

No world ending on Genderswap Day!

It had taken Kelly an alarmingly long time to notice what had happened to her. Like, she ate breakfast and picked out her clothes and only when she was getting into the shower did she notice that, like, her boobs were gone.

So, she dressed in what she'd laid out (it was cute, if now kinda tight and draggy) and came tearing downstairs. "Um, what the hell?" she asked the first person she came across.

"Good morning, Kelly," Layla said trying not to smirk. "Find something interesting this morning?"

"Uh, yeah, and my boobs are gone," Kelly noted helpfully. She didn't even notice that Layla knew who she was because um, duh, who else would she be? She was still fabulous even if she was a dude. "What the hell?"

Dinah had been grimly ready to head for Turtle & Canary to get clothes that fit-- the T-shirt she had on was way too tight, and the sweatpants about six inches too short-- instead of admitting to anyone that she'd forgotten to be ready for this when she'd heard how it might happen.

Only now, there were clothes. Clothes that might fit a Viking! "Oh my god you rock."

"Nothing to freak out about," Layla assured him. "It's just one of those wacky genderswapping days going on. Last time it was the guys turning into girls. Today it's the girls turning into guys. We should be all normal by tomorrow."

Mostly. Probably.

"I do my best," Layla grinned. "Sometimes it helps to be prepared for these things. I mean what's the point of being a guy if you can't look good? Or wear comfortable underwear?"

"Ooooh. So it's just for a day? Like an experiment!" Kelly decided. "Cool! I always wanted to see what it was like to pee standing up!"

Hayley was more than happy to grab some better fitting clothes, since she was wearing some raaaather tight pink items.

"Oh, jeepers, you're a life saver."

"Plus you get to see what all the guys write on the bathroom walls," Layla pointed out. "It's very enlightening."

Oh, Jaina could have looked through her closet to see if she found anything John had left behind. Except for the fact that he was a kriffing foot taller than her and that wouldn't really work, so now she was headed downstairs in the hope that something was set up like it had been for the boys. And good. It was. Now she could try to find something in her size. Shopping was stupid enough when she had all the right damn parts. And maybe someday she'd stop gritting her teeth, but probably not.

Well now you did it, Fandom. You gave Jaina Solo testosterone. Good luck with that.

"Just making sure we all look and feel good," Layla chuckled. "These kind of things always catch people unprepared."

"But not you!" Hayley said. "You're extra prepared for all of us. That's just fab, you know?"

Dinah squinted at Layla, and then grinned. "Layla?" She laughed and grabbed and XXL T-shirt and shucked the one that had been choking her, putting on the new one (http://www.roadkilltshirts.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=PS%200646%20SHINY%20OBJECTS) quickly, and then grabbing a pair of boxers and a pair of jeans. "I have no idea what the point is, except the Island believes in equal-opportunity mocking."

"...omigod do you think I'm in there?" she asked, eyes wide.

"Hi Jaina," Layla said looking up from her book and smiling. "I'm thinking you and George will have a lot to talk about today."

"Today I could fulfill the boy part of being a boy scout," Layla joked. "I figure if we're going to be guys we might as well enjoy it."

"If not you could always put yourself in there," Layla suggested. "You know. Get your name out. Start some buzz."

"That's a really good point," Hayley said. "Does this sort of thing last long?"

"Well maybe when the time comes you can always rely on the fact you've had some experience with the equipment," Layla smirked.

"If he hits on me with his face, he might actually get hit," Jaina replied, still frowning.

And then she turned and looked at the other... person. "And who are you?" She couldn't quite tell by Force sense when she didn't know the person well.

"Layla!" Dinah was turning crimson and rubbing the back of her neck as she choked on a laugh that was a lot deeper than usual. At least, she was pretty sure this had to be Layla, since Priestly had said that she'd been ready with bras last time, and okay, Dinah might be thinking about that to keep from thinking about... that. "Um. Dude. I just..." Okay. Damnit. Now she was thinking about it. Facepalm to end all facepalms.

"Layla Miller," he said cheerfully. "I know stuff. And I think he'll be too boggled to see his face to hit on someone. Though seeing the both of you fight would be fun."
