First Floor Lobby: Wednesday Morning

Ah. Genderswap day. Layla was up early this morning in the lobby setting up bin of underwear, jeans and t-shirts for the newly awakened guys to partake of.

Everything was organized according to style and then size for the convenience of anyone coming down stairs in a panic of some sort.

Layla then settled down in a sunny spot (please not that her skin was not sparkly, thank you very much) and started reading Ayn Rand for probably the one hundredth time.

. . . well, she'd wanted to be taller when this happened, hadn't she? Of course, this meant nothing of hers fit any more, so a taller, broader, but still very much barefoot Tahiri was rifling through the boxes of clothes, trying not to feel so weird. And kind of failing a lot on that point.

Didi was not going for anything except a black t-shirt and black jeans.

Having a penis was not going to turn her into some freak who wore color.

It had taken Kelly an alarmingly long time to notice what had happened to her. Like, she ate breakfast and picked out her clothes and only when she was getting into the shower did she notice that, like, her boobs were gone.

So, she dressed in what she'd laid out (it was cute, if now kinda tight and draggy) and came tearing downstairs. "Um, what the hell?" she asked the first person she came across.

Dinah had been grimly ready to head for Turtle & Canary to get clothes that fit-- the T-shirt she had on was way too tight, and the sweatpants about six inches too short-- instead of admitting to anyone that she'd forgotten to be ready for this when she'd heard how it might happen.

Only now, there were clothes. Clothes that might fit a Viking! "Oh my god you rock."

Hayley was more than happy to grab some better fitting clothes, since she was wearing some raaaather tight pink items.

"Oh, jeepers, you're a life saver."

Oh, Jaina could have looked through her closet to see if she found anything John had left behind. Except for the fact that he was a kriffing foot taller than her and that wouldn't really work, so now she was headed downstairs in the hope that something was set up like it had been for the boys. And good. It was. Now she could try to find something in her size. Shopping was stupid enough when she had all the right damn parts. And maybe someday she'd stop gritting her teeth, but probably not.

Well now you did it, Fandom. You gave Jaina Solo testosterone. Good luck with that.

George apparently wanted to die this morning.

"Hey Jaina," he said, smirking over at her. It was an educated guess, yeah. Helped by Layla.

Aaaand fairly early in the morning, there was a boy about Merlin's height, and about Merlin's coloring, dressed in Merlin's clothes.

Not Merlin.

Then again Layla probably knew that.

"Are there enough extra that I could grab a box and take some upstairs for the people still hiding in their rooms?" Francine asked.... whoever that was.

She had a plan, you see. That plan was mostly called If I DO Something, I Won't Freak Out. Maybe.

This was the third time around for Hoshi, so she didn't really need new clothes. She did raise an eyebrow at the display. "It's a shame no one thought of this last time," she said, poking through one of the bins to see if the jeans were an improvement from the pair she already had on.

Effy wasn't flailing, quite, but she wasn't looking particularly impressed, either. This would happen on one of the few days where she did actually have a class to show for, wouldn't it?

She already had a shirt she'd stolen off Tony a long time ago, but her tight and girly sweatpants hardly fitted in the way they should've and... wow, uncomfortable. So. Rifling through the selection, only offering the barest grunt of, "Morning," to Layla.

Kate had managed the morning with minimal flailing. She'd been prepared for this since the boys had turned into girls, after all. She already had clothes that fit this new body; it helped that she was still more or less the same height and kinda skinny.

Kate grinned at... the person with all the clothes as she wandered down into the lobby. "Ooh, considerate."

Mirax thought she was handling this whole thing very well. She was only freaking out internally.

"See this," she said, immediately grateful for the clothes, "is exactly the sort of thing that cannot happen over Parents Weekend."

"Performance art, huh?" the boy smirked.

If the pale skin, dark hair and ankh didn't give Didi away, the fact she was just as unreadable to Layla as a boy as she was as a girl should have.

Of course this had to happen on a day Ellie had a class and the sorority meeting. Luckily, she had found a baggy sweatshirt, though the pants didn't fit quite as well. She thought about borrowing clothes from Chuck later but was kind of afraid he'd be freaked out by this. More than she was. So she was relieved to find clothing on her way to class.

"This is a good idea. I mean, I was all prepared for turning into a cat or something, but not this."

Azula still had trouble keeping balance, she was so unused to this body's center of gravity she kept almost tripping.

She scowled, no wonder her brother was so incompetent. How could anyone function in this body?

"I handwavily heard there were clothes here," she said. It was a good thing her pajama bottoms were stretchable and she had a night robe handy but she couldn't very well be expected to walk around in just those clothes, right?

This was so much better than a similar day earlier in the summer.

George wandered down to the lobby, eyeing the tables of clothes. "Havin' fun?" he asked when he finally spotted Layla right where he thought she'd be.
