Nobody was at the usual meeting place. Instead, the Magic Reservists would find arrows drawn in the air with blue magical energy. (Look, Tony only had so many cool tricks. He had to make do with what he was given. Besides, it was easier than sticking signs to grass.) The arrows pointed to a space about a hundred feet away, where the ground rose up to make a small hill. The leaders of the Magic Reserve stood at the top of the hill. Refreshments were set up a few feet away from the base of the hill.

"Hey, everyone," Tony said. "Before we get started, I'd like everyone to fill out a brief survey. Let us know where you feel your strengths are and what you think are your weak spots. General stuff, like distance attacks, focused attacks, shielding, scrying, that sort of thing. Next week we'll pair you up with someone who will balance you out and practice working together."

Karla was not in a mood to be particularly helpful today. In fact, most of her thoughts were trending in the complete opposite direction. This probably stemmed from the fact that Karla was currently a male. Sure, it had happened to all the females on the island, but from her expression, she seemed to be taking it personally.

The additional testosterone probably wasn't helping any.

Thus, when it was her turn to speak, she kept it short, brief, and to the point. "Anyone feels the need to laugh or make a comment and I will cheerfully set you on fire."

She didn't look like she was kidding.

...Yes, she was still rather terrifying as a boy.

Merlin eyed her warily before nodding along with that. "So, today we'll be playing a spot of King Of The Hill. And... um... let's all try not to bring up the changes to the girls, yes?"

Rather than respond, Karla just stormed off to the edges of the crowd. It was probably a safe bet that she didn't have anything else to add.

"...Tony?" Merlin prompted, sounding a bit desperate.

"Um, yeah," Tony said. He pointed randomly in the opposite direction of Karla. "You're the King to start. Everyone else's job is to knock you off the top of the hill. Think of ways to push, pull and move, not attack and injure, okay?" They had a five minute break to clear the playing field and then Tony gave the signal to start.

Francine would just be staring at the survey in her hand and being reminded how much how much she probably didn't really belong here.

And also nibbling some form of baked good, but really, that could generally be assumed.

Tara was trying to fade into the background, as usual. She was still not exactly thrilled to be a boy.

Weaknesses: I'm seriously not a hardcore badass Wiccan.
Anything else we should consider: Can we make the island not change people's gender anymore? I'd like that.

Arthur was by now well aware and concerned about the current state of affairs (and hoped Morgana wasn't faring too badly), which might have been part of the reason he was straying so far from the crest of the hill as it was.

Of course, then he caught sight of a familiar patch of white on a vaguely familiar head in very familiar clothes. Merlin was right over there, so that--

Ye, he was staring by now.

Which was going to gather the attention of the queen of oblivious in about..... Oh, she had to look up eventually, if only to consider going for another cookie.

Annnnd then there was eye contact. Sigh.

She waved. "Hi, Arthur. I'm Francine." Just in case he.... was really really dense, since she everybody she'd talked to so far today had gotten it from the hair.

...Except Merlin.

Merlin was there and... thankful he was male. Though, still afraid for his safety with Karla around.

...and Francine.

"Yes," he said, smoothly, "I could tell. Are you handling everything all right?"

This was the time to focus on the fact that, of course, Merlin had to go and give her a clean collection of his best and most horribly unflattering in terms of clothes, and not the fact she was not entirely what one would label ugly.

It took quite a bit of convincing herself, but Raven was there. The red chakra stone should give away her identity, if she -- he -- wasn't hiding her -- his -- face with her -- his -- whatever -- hair.

Why did the chorus of I will not freak out I will not freak out I will not freak out turn into a symphony when asked that? Or possibly just when asked that by certain people.

"I'm fine. Merlin loaned me clothes."

Strengths: Healing, empathy, shielding, teleportation
Weaknesses: Offensive actions
Anything else we should consider: I was raised a pacifist, but I am attempting to learn to deal with violence so that I may assist in case of an attack. I cannot use my empathic powers offensively. I am going to be practicing with Jono.

"I could tell by their general squalor and the fact they actually fit you," he shot back. It was... markably easier to be his usual charming self at Francine when she didn't have, well. Breasts. "You know there's more down in the lobby."

Diana had finally begun to notice that something was not right and was now just very puzzled.

"I know. I took some around to people who were hiding in their rooms." A rare moment of good sense had her not mentioning the phrase Pants Fairy. Unlike the phrase hiding in their rooms. "Um. I mean. You know. Not hiding. People who couldn't leave because they didn't have any clothes."

"There's nothing wrong about spending some time in your chambers on a day like this," Arthur lectured, sternly. Sort of sternly.

And didn't glance towards Karla. Really, she could do with a good being-trapped-in-a-room right now.

"I didn't say there was." She just hadn't been back to her own room to change into the clothes in her backpack that would make her look like she was born in the previous century.... or to put on underwear, hush... because. There was some reason. She'd think of it.

Some reason besides I might run into Katchoo.

"But not everybody wants to."

This being Magic Reserves week, since no, she didn't qualify as a Girl With A Gun today, Dinah was there. Possibly looking like she wanted to run around the Preserve ten times. Possibly looking like she thought she could win the game. And looking around at everyone else, curious.

He exhaled, rolling his eyes once, but decided to let that pass.

And... found that he had blessedly little to say about it. The whole thing was just strange, and he found himself glancing towards Merlin once. "Stay out of the wizards' path," he advised. "Don't get hurt."
