3rd floor stairwell [evening]

When one was a baby cat, one found ways to entertain oneself.

Like, for instance, by chasing little fluttery things (or dust bunnies) along floors. Aravis found that when she was a leopard cub, she was worlds more interested in dust than normally. It was one such dust bunny that led her bouncing along the stairs between the third and fourth floors, trying to nab the fuzzy little thing.

Right as she reached the landing of the third floor, comic timing had its way with poor Aravis. And such was how she came to be crouched, naked, in the stairwell.

She would have screeched obscenities, but she didn't really have words to truly convey how awful this was. So she just screeched, period, doing her best to use her hair to cover...what she could, before attempting to bolt up the stairs to her room.

[...I was dared. People are TOTALLY WELCOME to interact with the shrieking naked girl, yes.]

Mat was coming down the stairs when he heard a familiar voice.

"Are those your dulcet tones, my fine lady?" he teased.

Mat was already shrugging out of his red silk coat (embroidered with blue and gold. Mat might not like nobles, but he enjoyed wearing things that weren't wool). "But if I just give you this, it encourages rudeness," he said.

It also encouraged things like "Mat getting smacked."

Mat handed the coat over, giving her a mocking smile. "Thank you, Mat," he prompted.

"I'm not complaining," Mat said, smirking. "Naked is a good look for you."

"I am not going to complain about where a woman chooses to display her charms," Mat said.

"And you had been such a cute cat," Mat replied, shaking his head.

Mat took that opportunity to give her a covert once-over. "I might have too," he replied.

"Maybe," Mat said. "I didn't weep over it or anything."

"That was exactly why I restrained myself," Mat said with a nod.

"There is a great deal that is admirable about me," Mat declared modestly.

Mat grinned and spun in a little circle. "Would my lady like that to change?"

Mat winked. "That sounds like an agreeable arrangement."

"I don't want to be responsible for that manner of trauma to the man," Mat said, laughing and being happily tugged along.
