Second Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

He was trying. He really was.

Was it so much to ask for the man to visit once? One? Parents Weekend, zilch. Nothing. Finally, a letter, saying he'd come, and... another letter saying he was laid up waiting for parts!?

It was more than Jack could handle. He needed... it was too early in the morning for booze, so he turned to comfort foods (of which he had none in his room, since he binged on his stash last week)...and nothing was cooked.

Is a cookie asking for too much?!

Angry!Jack was bustling around the Common Room, making various batches of cookies and intending on eating much of them himself. Or maybe for other people. Spending a few minutes mixing the eggs, the peanut butter, and the sugar together (a bit violently) calmed him down a bit. And while the first batch was almost ready, he was working on some made with crunchy peanut butter.

[Open for everyone! Mod cookies! And if anyone wants to bake muffins...*innocent look*]

Mmmmm. Momoko followed her nose to the source of the smell.

"Peanut Butter Cookies?" She poked her head into the common room. "Hi Jack! Are they for sharing or for family?"
heromaniac: (eating uhm?)

Momoko grabbed a cookie and munched a moment as she watched him. "You know, the cooking utensils didn't do anything. Or did they? On my floor, I swear the oven knows when I use it; it hates me." She swiped another cookie. "These are good!"
heromaniac: (big eye curious)

Momoko completely believed his story. "Family recipes are usually the best! So if the utensils didn't do anything, how come you're banging them around? That's usually not part of a recipe."
heromaniac: (smile hello)

"I may not be able to bake them, but I am familiar with how it is done, Jack. Banging pans is not good for cookies." She finished her second cookie and brushed crumbs from her hands. "Even if the pan is empty! It can mess with the shape and then the heat isn't right and the cookies get messed up. But I will help if it means I can have more!" She rolled up her sleeves and grinned.

Someone letting her help bake was an interesting change, and Momoko's face broke into a huge smile. She pretty much skipped to the fridge and pulled at the door to look inside. "Chocolate chip and peanut butter definitely! Ooh! Can we add these too, or will it mess with the recipe?" She held up a bag of walnuts. "I'm not sure what they were doing in the fridge, though."
heromaniac: (smile cheery)

"I would think you're joking, except I live one floor up." Momoko chuckled and plopped both the bag of chocolate chips and the walnuts on the counter. "What can I do next?"

She was HELPING!
