2nd Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

George didn't usually pay a lot of attention to the flickering box in all the Common Rooms, but when he wandered in to find some food this evening, the box caught his attention.

It seemed to be some kind of sports match?  With the little men on ice hitting each other and whacking at a little black puck.

Huh.  He sat down on the couch, curious at the little men.  Oh yeah, totally cheering for the guys in red. They just looked so much cooler.



[Shut up, I have been waiting for new hockey for SO LONG.]

"Uh huh!" Bobby nodded. He hadn't tried to tell Bobby he was now married to Sookie, so that totally counted as nice. "He took exception to the food, but seemed nice enough to me."

"Well, yeah," she said with a grin. "You think I can cook? You ain't seen nothing until you've had something Lafayette made. He's great. He's um, my best friend Tara's cousin. She had a problem with her mama and couldn't come, so he stepped in. I think he had more fun than she would, really. He, um. Didn't bother you at all?"

She would be sending Lafayette the cutest bi-curious boy she could find with a bow on his head if he hadn't said anything to Bobby about what she'd said.

"Nope," Bobby assured her. It's entirely possible that Lafayette had said something about what Sookie had said... it's just that, as usual, that sort of thing went completely over Bobby's head unless it were spelled out very clearly. In capslock. Possibly underlined. "I'm glad you had someone visit after all," he added with a smile. "I mean, I know you said it was no big deal if nobody made it, but... it's nice to have a little bit of home here, even if it's just for a weekend."

"Warren's a sweetheart, by the way. You should convince him to come to school here," she said, nodding.

And it wasn't just because she wanted to see the wings. Mostly.
