Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Tony had a couple of pizzas and some bottles of pop out to celebrate the return of Darkest Night. He settled down on the couch to watch the vampire detective Raymond Dark and his eyes and ears in the daylight, James Taylor Grant, battle a cursed pie shop.

Raven just happened to be passing through the second floor on the way upstairs, as one does. She paused in the common room, recognizing Tony and sensing his excitement. "Hello, Tony," she said.

"Hey, Raven!" Tony smiled. "You like TV? You're welcome to join us."

"I have found some TV interesting," Raven said, smiling back. She wasn't about to admit she had totally been sucked into Rumor Gal earlier that evening, however. "You are very excited about this show."

"I worked on it this summer and last," Tony smiled. "And I'm, uh, good friends with one of the actors."

Raven could sense there was more behind the "good friends" comment and smiled. "You wish to be an actor as well?" she asked.

"Oh god no," Tony said. "I want to direct."

"Ah, you wish to bring the story to life," Raven said. "Has this always been something that has interested you?"

"Hi Raven!" Dinah waved a slice of pizza at her, and said, "C'mon in! It's the show Tony works on. Have some foooood."

"Hello, Dinah," Raven said. "I did not know Tony worked on a show. Is there pizza without meat?"

"Mmmph." Meaning, 'yes, one moment,' and then Dinah pulled out the box that hadn't been pillaged yet. "Mushrooms and peppers and cheese, yup. And yeah, Tony had a job as a production assistant and all-around wizard-saving guy on this show this last summer. He was gone way too long."

"Thank you," Raven said, taking a slice. Pizza had been a new discovery when she came to Fandom, and she liked it. "What is the show about?"

"A vampire detective. Not like the vampires at that other place," Dinah added hastily, knowing Raven had the same feelings she probably did on the subject. "This vampire is a good guy. But most of the fun comes from making fun of it, 'cause everything is so fake."

The pizza froze halfway to Raven's mouth. "Vampires," she repeated. "Why would anyone make a television show about such things?"

"You're not bad for me, right?" Hayley asked. She was grinning when she said it.

Raven blinked at Hayley. "I do not think so," she said. "Why do you ask that?"

"Oh, well, Beka said that magic wasn't real and stuff," Hayley said.

She still smiled. "I said it still feels real, though."

"She should come to a meeting of the Magical Reserves," Raven said. "That should convince her that magic is very real!"

"Oh, I mean, she knows it exists and stuff," Hayley explained. "Just that when you make me feel better, it's not real."

Raven frowned a little. "My gifts are very real," she said. "As any I have healed can attest to."

"Hello, Raven. I didn't know you were a fan."

Because that's clearly why she was here. The awesome show.

"I have never seen this before," Raven admitted, shaking her head. "I did not realize they made TV shows about vampires. I am still not certain I understand why."

"It's fun!" Merlin insisted. "I got to visit where they filmed it."

"But vampires are not fun," Raven said. "They are horrible evil creatures." Especially the ones that sparkled and watched you through your window.

But they loved you, Raven! Loved you so much, they had to leave and let you fall in love with random sexy werewolf who will go on to wanna date your daughter.

"Well, maybe most. But the one on the show is good. He fights crime."

"That is what Dinah told me," Raven said, nodding. "But I find it very difficult to believe that a vampire could be a heroic character."
