Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Tony had a couple of pizzas and some bottles of pop out to celebrate the return of Darkest Night. He settled down on the couch to watch the vampire detective Raymond Dark and his eyes and ears in the daylight, James Taylor Grant, battle a cursed pie shop.

It may have been on a different night than she was used to, but as if Firekeeper was going to miss this.

Blind Seer wasn't quite as serious about the show, but where Firekeeper went, so went he.

"Is about time show come back!" she commented as they found a spot on the couch. "Hello, Tony."

"Hey!" he said. "How's it going?"

"Am well," she replied with a smile. "Enjoyed break from classes. You went on trip?" she was assuming most everyone had, really. Fandom had been very quiet the past week.

"I did," Tony said. "But I was up late talking to Lee most nights, so I slept a lot during the day."

Firekeeper smiled. "Wolves usually sleep during most of day too," she offered. "Though not because we talk all night."

"That's just 'cause you guys don't have Skype yet," Tony said. "He's on the other side of the world but we can see each other and talk to each other."

"Skype?" she frowned. "Is magic?"

"Nah, it's just on the computer," Tony said.

"Ah," Firekeeper nodded. "I not know too much about these, except how to make music play."

"Hey guys!" Dinah tossed a pepperoni under-handed at Blind Seer, and grinned at Firekeeper. "How did you guys' break go? More fun out in the Preserve?"

Blind Seer snapped up the pepperoni in his jaws as Firekeeper answered. "Much fun," she said with a nod. "Though perhaps next time we sign up for trip. Just to be having 'a change'."

"You might have liked this one," Dinah admitted. "There was a lot of trees, forest there. Trails for hiking. And the cabins were nice and comfy." She grinned. "You wouldn't have liked the rafting, though. Too much like the class with the iceberg."

"No boats," Firekeeper said firmly with a shake of her head. "Am not much good on them."

Dinah grinned, then shook her head. "Well, there was plenty of other stuff to do. I'm glad to be back, though. I was missing the routine, and training. They had a pool and an archery range there, but it's not the same. And next week is Homecoming! So that should be fun too."

"Ah, yes!" Firekeeper brightened. "A dance. Has been too long since we haved one."

"Totally," Dinah had to agree. Hey, there'd been dancing at the lodge, but not dancing she could do! "And then a carnival, I think I heard. With games and rides and foooood." She grinned, did a little shimmy in her seat. "It's going to be great."

"Carnival?" Firekeeper gave Dinah an inquisitive look. She'd been around for Homecoming last year, yes, but had missed the carnival somehow.

"Hello, Firekeeper!" Merlin was now upright and perhaps a bit too cheerful about a cheesy television show ~~that probably rivaled BBC quality graphics~~. "Blind Seer!"

"Merlin, hello!" Firekeeper greeted with a grin. Blind Seer offered his own in a cheerful bark. "Good to see you back."

"You too!" A beat. "Not that you--went anywhere. Or anything."

"Went to Preserve," Firekeeper offered. "Though is not as far as you go."

"It was fun," Merlin replied. "You should have come along. There were more woods to explore there."

"You think they would have been minding Blind Seer there?" she asked. While people in Fandom's first reaction to Blind Seer seemed to be caution, most outside Fandom went with outright fear. It made traveling difficult sometimes.

Merlin eyed him for a moment. "We could have told them he was a very large dog?"

Firekeeper laughed. "This work sometimes," she admitted. "So perhaps I shall go on next trip! Unless there is boats again."
