5th Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

There was a Francine, there was a top hat, and there was a very small, very fluffy, very white bunny trying to get out of the top hat.

"Will you please stay in there? At least while I get you some lettuce and grapes?" No carrots. "I don't want people to step on you."

Francine turned on the tv and channel-flipped 'til she hit a Bitterwoman repeat. So, you know. For about 30 seconds. "There. Watch that and... try to behave." Not that Francine's bedspread could attest to the pointlessness of that request.

[OOC: Oooooopen! BunnyBFF modded shamelessly with permission.]

"Yes," Arthur said, dryly, "That'll hold you right up until the moment things start mattering beyond the words we use."
intraspective: (trying not to laugh)

"I take serious stuff seriously," she said, making a face at him. "For everything else, I do what I want. You ought to know that by now--I listen during reserves and stuff."

"So would you prefer I call you minion," Arthur asked, dryly, "Because I'm not entirely comfortable with that."
intraspective: (totally innocent)

Ino laughed.

"I call myself minion often enough," she said, shrugging. "I can deal with that one--what don't you like 'bout it, though?"

"It has some ignoble connotations, doesn't it?"
intraspective: (charming)

"...not really moreso than subject," she pointed out. "I mean, at least minion means you're addressing me in particular 'cause a minion is an individual, while calling me a subject is depersonalizing me 'cause you can call everyone a subject."

Or something.

Ino was about ninety percent making-shit-up today, yes.

Arthur let go of an exasperated, amused sigh that implied that he was both very certain she was making shit up and not so very certain why he was indulging her in it, and said, "Let me put it this way. Minion implies I make you scurry about in the dark for me at odd hours, hauling questionable goods. Subject merely means you are one of my people. It's a little more specific than everyone."

Ino was deeply amused at that.

"Hauling 'round stuff in dark hours of the night? Some would say that's part of my job description," she teased. "At least the skittering 'round in the dark, part."
