Girls with Guns [Wednesday after classes]

It had been a while, so Triela had gone the extra mile and brought food today. Tea and tasty little cookies and things. Not that she would eat many herself, too much sugar, but she hoped that others would enjoy them.

"Nothing special on the agenda today," she told people as they arrived. "We're just going to spend the day getting back into the habit of shooting. As always, you can borrow one of my guns if you need one. And, please, drink some tea and eat some food. Because I have to figure out what to do with anything that's left over."

Woooo! Gun club! I've miiiiiissssssed it!

Claire helped herself to some tea and considered that she needed to purchase her own weapon one of these days.

Claire was definitely out of practice ~~and icons SIGH~~ so she spent some quality time sharpening her skills.

Yay tea! And guns! Dinah had missed this, even if she'd been practicing on her own off and on.

Bang! Cookies didn't help her aim, but they didn't hurt it any either. And Dinah kind of found it soothing, after a while, just the concentration on one thing.

And was not about to stop being hot any time soon, really.

Algren helped himself to some tea, and then went about blowing holes in targets, while at the same time making certain the students weren't being idiots and blowing holes in each other.

Triela raised her own teacup in sort of salute.

"Hey, Dinah," Triela waved and grinned.

"Good afternoon, sir," Triela nodded politely.

Algren lowered his gun and nodded at her, smiling faintly.

"Good afternoon, Triela. I trust it's treating you well?"

"Yes," she agreed, taking a sip of her tea. "And yourself?"

"I haven't been given any reason to complain about it yet," he replied. "The week has been going surprisingly well."

He hadn't wanted to smack his forehead into anything in class yesterday, and so he was calling this entire week a win.

"That is good news," Triela nodded slightly. "You haven't gone skipping through time again recently, have you?"

"Not since Japan," Algren conceded. "I think it'll probably stay that way for a while, unless Portalocity decides it's going to make my front door a target for the rest of my time on the island."

He sincerely hoped not. Not because he didn't like time travel, but because every time Portalocity screwed up, he wound up witnessing entirely too many needless deaths.

"I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, then."

Claire smiled. "What's up?"

"I appreciate that," he decided, giving her a wry smile.

"Not much. I've been busy, but that's been interesting. What about you?"

"Pretty much the same," she said. "Clearly we need to do something interesting."

"No problem," Triela shrugged. "Good thoughts aren't too terribly hard to come up with."

"Well, I think we're probably due another rappelling session sometime soon."

"Definitely," Claire agreed. "Before it gets much colder."
