2nd Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

Them hockey players just happened to be on the television again when George  - and Beka-the-terrier - wandered down to the Common Room.   It was a shock, really, and totally not planned at all.

Beka flopped down on the couch, covering her eyes with her paws.  George didn't much mind that as it meant for once she wasn't trying to bite him for something she'd decided he was doin' wrong.  Being bitten would have distracted him from watching the little men skate around the ice.

"Probably money." Kyle leaned back into the comfy chair. "It's usually money." The TV told him so.

"Y'd think th' Wizard would be wantin' more money if he's got t'save th'games like that," George said thoughtfully.

"Oh, aye, I did tell ye I'd introduce ye t'Beka one day?" he remembered, pointing to the puppy. "That's her there."

Kyle craned his neck to get a better look and raised a hand to wave. "Hey Beka." He looked back at George. "I'm guessing she's not always a dog?"

"She's always a Dog," George said, capitalisation evident. "But usually she do be human shaped."

Beka looked put upon though she barked a greeting at Kyle.

"And you're looking after her?"

"So it seems," he said. "She won' be comin' to Luke's or nothin'."

Because somethings were boys only.

"You think she'll really stay like that that long? That'd be weird being an animal so long." Apparently being an animal at all wasn't weird.

"She's been one a week already," George said. He eyed the dog worriedly. "Maybe she'll be one all th' rest o' th'year."
