Fourth Floor Common Room | Friday Evening | 11/6

Hayley seemed to be spending a lot of time in her common room, lately.

Today, she was baking sugar cookies and icing them.

There was an utter mess of sugar and flour, and the icing was splattered almost everywhere... including all over Hayley. The cookies themselves were explosions of color, like Pollock paintings in junk food form.

"This is great," Hayley remarked to herself.

There was a music channel on the TV, and Hayley was grooving to a series of music videos by Daft Punk as she did her baking thing.

[ooc: Very open! The work week is over, hooray!]

Robin came in, and not for the first time, was reminded of the Swedish Chef. "What are you making?" he asked. He slid a bit on the floor of the kitchen stepping in a bit of spilled flour. "Whoop!"

He hopped up onto the counter. "They look like it." he agreed. "Can I help?"

Robin chose not to be offended by that, in the interests of remaining friends with Haley. "No that's just a myth."

Robin giggled too. Felt warts? "Not even those. Or velvet."

"I've never felt a wart." Robin replied loftily. He wondered if the pun had been intentional. Then he started drawing pictures on the cookies. A pilgrim hat for starters.

It also turned out, that Robin's hand, freshly washed mind you, was the perfect size to trace, and draw a turkey onto another cookie.

"I'm not sure. Did they invent cookies yet?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Well you could have come from that time period." Robin shrugged. "I wonder if anyone at this school has."

"15 or 16 I think. I wonder if the buckles on their hats was so they could adjust the size."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
"You can adjust baseball caps. And that's the only reason I can think of to have a buckle on your hat. Unless you thought you might need an extra one."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Well I meant an extra buckle, but now that you mention it, wearing two hats at once is kinda silly."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Robin wasn't so sure about that. It seemed pretty basic stuff, nothing fancy about it. "More a musician and performer really."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
"I've never tried that." he admitted. "You think I'd make a good clown?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-07 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
"It looks hard. I know a comedian who's made a career out of being bad at it though."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2009-11-08 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Well at being a comedian anyway. He has a great thing going with two guys who come see his act all the time. It's really funny."
