Third floor common room, Saturday evening

Watching TV might not be one of his favourite pasttimes, but Leto had sat down on the couch with a cup of tea and just flipped through the channels. Soon he had found a documentary on Darwin's discoveries on the Galapagos islands and the development of the concept of evolution. Although lacking in philosophical depth, the particulars of the historical events still caught his interest, and Leto followed the story with a thoughtful frown on his face.

Kate shook her head. "No thanks, I think I'm gonna stick with apple juice." No tea ever again.

"Fair enough," Triela shrugged. "Though you're missing out. With the right kind of cake, nothing in the world beats a good cup of tea."

Not that Triela had any decent tea cake around.

"I think I'll live," Kate snorted. "I could totally go for cake, though. Maybe I should bake something."

Triela laughed. "Maybe you should." She found a teapot and put some water on to boil.

Kate looked thoughtful. "Not tonight, though. It's a lazy day. But maybe tomorrow."

"Good to know you've got your priorities in order."

"My comfort over everything else, of course."

"That's what I meant, yeah." The teapot whistled and Triela pulled it off the heat to pour some into a cup. "It's not too late to change your mind," she grinned as she got a tea bag out to steep.

"Oh, I'm not gonna change my mind," Kate replied with a mild smile and a wave of her hand. "Not really a fan of tea, and I had coffee earlier. I think I'm all hot beveraged out for today."

"How can you be all hot beveraged out?" Triela asked, watching her tea steep idly.

"I just don't feel like having any more," Kate said. "Isn't that enough?"

"Well, sure," Triela shrugged. It wasn't like she had a problem with people not wanting to drink tea. Or hot beverages in general. "It just seems... odd." Because Triela was the very definition of normal.

Just like everyone else on the island. So very normal. "Said the girl who doesn't like sugar," Kate smirked. "I had a lot of coffee. I think it makes sense that I don't want more of the same type of stuff."

Triela shrugged again and took the tea bag out of her cup. "Well, it's not like you have to drink something you don't want to." She took an experimental sip and nodded. "Hmmm..."

"Any good?" She had to ask. Monitoring the awesomeness and all that.

"It is acceptable," Triela decided.

"Good. Wouldn't want to have any unacceptable tea on this floor."

"But I do feel that I must inform you that it falls short of awesome."

"Well, that happens sometimes," Kate said. "Don't tell anyone else."

"I'm afraid you'll have to make my silence worth my while..."

"Sorry, my bribery's reserved for teachers. Besides, I don't think I'd have anything to offer you, anyway. I deal mostly in sugary goods."

"Yeah, in that case I'm afraid I'll have to begin a public relations campaign against your floor's tea."

"I'm not sure that many people on this floor even drink tea. It's just not high on our list of awesome priorities."
