Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Tony had a can of pop, a bag of beef jerky and a can of spray cheese. He settled in the second floor common room to watch this week's episode of Darkest Night. Tonight Raymond Dark and James Taylor Grant investigated crop circles. Aliens? Fakes? Or... something else?

"Yeah," Tony said, and he couldn't keep a smile from pulling the edges of his mouth up. "Much better than Australia. He's going to be in a show in New York, so he'll be working."

Jack watched that smile and made himself be happy Tony was happy. "Fantastic. You can have weekends with him, at least. Do you think you might go to New York after we graduate?"

"I... don't know," Tony said. "I've been planning to go to film school in Vancouver."

"They must have film schools in New York, though," Jack reasoned aloud. (Possibly with an utter lack of concern for citizenship issues.) "Still, I suppose you have time to decide."

"Yeah," Tony said, making a mental note to check into New York film schools, just in case. "I don't even know if Lee's play will be running next spring. Or if he'll still want me around."

"Always better to assume he will, isn't it?" Jack asked rhetorically.

"I guess," Tony said. "This whole thing's still pretty new."

"A couple months, isn't it?" Jack asked, not exactly arguing.

"Yeah, but almost all long distance," Tony said. "I don't know. It's weird to think graduation's coming up so soon. Do you know what you're doing?"

Jack shook his head. "This time, I think, but I don't know much beyond that. Sebastien's been .... keeping too busy for a proper conversation." This was said with some distaste.

"You think you can get him to move to a different time?" Tony asked, surprised.

Jack thought he could try. And he was very persuasive when he wanted to be.

"If you've been around since before William the Conquerer, how much difference can a hundred years make?"

"It doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal," Tony agreed. "Not that I know much about it. I've never been to any other times than mine."

Jack looked over at Tony, forming an idea. "Do you want to go home with me for a weekend sometime?"

"Seriously?" Tony grinned. "That'd be awesome."

"I'd need to send him a note, but I don't think he can object," Jack said. "Would the first weekend in December work for you?"
