Second Floor Common Room: Thursday Afternoon

With a day off from classes and work, Layla was lounging on the sofa with her Chuck Taylor's and striped socks resting up on the coffee table watching watching old episodes of Seraph.

Next to her was a giant bowl of pink and green potato chips that she found on a back shelf at the local Kwik Stop that she was totally willing to share...

Though if you were smart you probably wouldn't want to partake of them.

[Open of course...]

Jack didn't have much of anything to do until play rehearsal, so he was roaming the dorms looking for signs of life.

"Layla," he greeted. "I haven't seen you in a while. ... are those snack chips green?"

Because that was the key thing.

Jack had never been so grateful to turn food down. "I don't eat shellfish," he said, not bothering to make it sound like an apology. "And does anyone eat seaweed, really?"

No one had told him what the green stuff on sushi was.

"I am not Japanese, Chinese, or Korean." Though Jack did take a seaweed chip and break off the tiniest corner of it.

Jack let the chip dissolve to mush in his mouth and, after a pause, swallowed.

Not ... horrid.

"I don't mind sushi."

"Oh, that would be the green bit." And now Jack felt like an idiot, meaning he needed to change the topic. "What's on the television?"

"Part of one, I think," Jack said as he flopped into a seat. "I don't really watch much television. I've never gotten into the habit."

"I didn't know werewolves could do good."

"The gypsies wanted him to be miserable," Jack summarized. "Well, I suppose it's kinder than turning him inside out or shooting a silver bullet between his eyes."

"Depends how many of them he would have killed without it," Jack pointed out. "Though I do still wonder why they didn't just kill him outright, rather than live with the risk."

"You're looking at it as a story," Jack answered. "How do they handle things during the full moon?"

"Perhaps," Jack said. "It all seems implausible, but that seems to be true of the television at the best of times."

Jack was off for a bit of a wander, and found himself in the Common Room. It was a short wander. Hush.

"They make chips in green?" he asked, staring at the wrongness.

"Sure!" he said, accepting the chip, which properly vanished into his maw. "Tastes like sushi," he said, once he could speak. "Not bad."

He did. "Is this shrimp?" he asked. "These are good!"
