Large bowl of Movie Theatre Butter popcorn, Gloaming Sector marathon on tv (the original black and white ones, of course), and... girl who spends more time hiding behind the throw pillows on the sofa during things like this than she does when someone's accidentally showing porn. What could possibly go wrong?

"Hi Francine," Layla said cheerfully as she wandered into the common room and flopped on the couch. "What's the good word for the day?"

"Creepy," Francine said from behind a pillow. "Also, popcorn."

"It's just a fictional story with a talking doll," Layla shrugged as she put her feet up on an ottoman. "Surely you've seen creepier things here at Fandom."

"The things I've seen in Fandom--" And elsewhere, and in other people's heads. "--don't have spooky music. Besides, talking dolls are pretty darn creepy."

"So when the island was invaded by zombies, you're saying it wasn't as scary since there wasn't any theme music?"

Francine lowered her pillow a bit for that. "...I was one of the zombies."

"Well if you were on the other side that might put a damper on the old fear factor," Layla shrugged. "Still sounds worse than a talking doll."

Oh great, make her try to explain why one creepy thing was creepier than some other creepy thing. "Well... zombies are zombies. They're supposed to look scary and try to kill you. Baby dolls? Not so much."
