"Okay, this week was supposed to be my turn to share a little something or other," Zack confessed, rubbing the back of his neck almost awkwardly as the reserves group gathered. "But I... Kinda got a little sidetracked, and so I'll have something figured out to teach next week. If anyone else has something that they'd like to share with the group, come see me, and we'll figure out a day, and try to round up what you'll need if you want to give the group some hands-on experience with your topic of choice."

He stood there a moment, kind of scuffing his heel against the ground.

"This week, we're going to try the same thing on a slightly smaller scale. We've all got expertise in different areas, right? I mean, there's no way we can all be professionals at the exact same thing. So I want you to pair off, and talk amongst yourselves about where your respective strengths and weaknesses lie. And then, over the course of the week, I want you and your partner to focus on teaching one another. Take those weaknesses, and work them out of your systems. Take your strengths, and see if your partner can use what you've learned in order to improve on their own, as well."

And another moment, kind of quiet, before he shrugged at the group.

"If anyone needs me for anything, I'll stick around after the meeting for a bit. I don't really have anywhere to be this afternoon."

Zack gave his shoulders a light shrug, shaking his head.

"No plans. It's not really my holiday, you know?" And then... he shrugged again. Supposedly for good measure.

"You're welcome to come home with me, if you want," Dinah said tentatively. "Tony's coming. Jak too, I think. I asked Merlin if he and Arthur wanted to come along, not sure he's checked with him yet." She added, "Alfred makes a ton of food. And a Turbackducken!"

There was the blinking. And the headtilting. Not quite as peppy as his usual confused expressions, no, but it was a close thing for a moment, there.

"You've mentioned a turducken before. But what's the 'back' part?"

Priorities!

"Bacon! Bacon bacon bacon!" Dinah said, sounding like a cartoon dog for a second there. "And herbs and spices and yuuuuum." Anything that would perk up Zack a little was a good thing. Not that he'd get better immediately but just-- to keep him afloat.

The little smile? Little bigger. Zack almost laughed at that 'bacon' thing.

"Anything with bacon has got to be awesome," he noted, trying on a little grin for size. "After all, it is bacon."

Mmmm, bacon.

"Exactly." Dinah squeezed him again and gave him a smile. "Think about it, 'kay?" She reached for another cookie and bumped his arm. "How's Mr. Winkles? Still getting over cat-playing?"

"Oh, he's fine," Zack decided, nodding a little. "I think he appreciates getting out to get some fresh air. It's good for him, you know?"

Mr. Winkles was battling a potion and a ballpoint pen for pocket space, and he was going to kill you alllll if he ever got free of this confounded cloth prison.

"Cool." Dinah grinned at the little guy, little knowing his megalomaniacal plans, and said, "Let me know about this weekend and all. And enjoy the rest of the cookies."

"Thank you, Dinah." Little smile. Little nod. "I'll be sure to let you know when I make up my mind, okay?"
