Roof; Friday Afternoon

Chuck was bored and tired of hanging around his room so when he finally got out of bed on Friday he decided to get out for a bit. Not to a common room since his post-Thanksgiving hangover wasn't allowing for him to be quite that social at the moment, but he knew he could handle being out on the roof for a bit. It was cold, but nothing Chuck couldn't handle. The scarf did more than make him look fantastic, you know.

"Yeah, he's definitely a creeper," Chuck agreed. "Pretty good at Quarters though. That was surprising. Here I thought he had no talents at all."

"Well, now I know what not to bet against him on." Honestly, Effy didn't think she'd be playing it with him. But it was still never a bad thing to know.

"I don't know if I'd bet against him on anything that involves drinking games," Chuck said. "He pretty much lives at a bar."

"Should encourage your employees to get lives," Effy advised. Yes, she advocated spending time in bars, but once you were all but sleeping there, things had gone a bit far.

"Girls like me can handle the odd creep." Please, she'd been hit on by weirder. Much weirder.

Chuck smirked. "Yeah, I guess you probably could. Still, it's a hassle nobody should have to deal with."

"Mmm. Almost doing the world a favour keeping him here." Something like that. "Look at you. Such a good Samaritan."

"I do what I can," Chuck said, bowing his head. "I'm really trying to earn those Christmas gifts this year. All those lumps of coal get boring after a while."

Effy shot him a smirk herself as she looked him over, taking in the whole effect, and... no, not angelic.

"Yes." Really, really didn't.

"Well, shit," he said, sighing. "Guess I'll have to practice in the mirror more."
