The Roof, Monday Afternoon

After class, Raven retreated to the roof. She was still completely out of sorts from being a dominatrix over the weekend and punishing and whipping her "clients." She needed some hardcore meditation to re-center herself.

Wait, hardcore was probably not the word she was looking for.

Jack, at least, was being a perfect gentleman about things, which made it much easier to deal with. Two of the men were strangers, so hopefully she would never see them again. Which mostly just left Dinah, Aphrodite, Hannibal, Max, any lingering weirdness with Joan...and Merlin. The memory of how he'd looked at her made her shudder.

On the bright side, she hadn't misused her powers again, right?

"I have spoken to one of my...clients," Raven said, ducking her head. "He is being a gentleman about it, which I appreciate. I came up her to try to recenter myself and see if I could determine where...whoever I was came from. I think perhaps my fear of losing control."

"I can imagine." This wasn't the kind of thing you could tease about too much. "It might have nothing to do with you, you know. Just a random tide of weird. Priestly ended up as a voice inside Dean Winchester's head."

"Perhaps," Raven mused. "I am not certain if random weirdness would make me feel better or not. Part of me wishes to have some sort of explanation, but another part is pleased to think that...she is not inside me somewhere."

"It's not like, a bad thing," Dinah said tentatively. "I mean. Not you, but not wrong." She wasn't sure that was much help. "I can sympathize with the control thing, though." A lot.

"I was not abusing my powers, at least," Raven said. "Though I used them to some extent to sense what others wanted. If they had been as twisted as the person I was, however...it could have been very bad."

Dinah reached over to squeeze her hand. "Twisted? Or just ... really different?" She paused, and added, "She didn't push me, even when she was, uh. Flirting with me."

"She enjoyed giving pain to others," Raven said, biting her lip as she squeezed Dinah's hand back. "It was not merely her occupation."

"Ohhh." Dinah was remembering the Vamp Universe Dinah now, and everything Tony had said to her afterward. "Is that weirding you out?"

Raven nodded. Emphatically. "Very much so," she said, wrapping her arms around herself. "But if it were merely Fandom weirdness, then I do not have to worry, right?"

"Right," Dinah confirmed, then reached over to put an arm around Raven's shoulders. "And, you know, even if it wasn't? In some little way?" Thinking of Cal in handcuffs in 'Dite's shop, and ahem. "It wouldn't be so wrong. You're still you, now."

Raven leaned against Dinah's shoulder. "I am myself, now," she murmured in agreement. "I know I worry too much about losing control and abusing my powers, but I fear where that might lead."

"And it's no fun when something else does that for you. Yeah." Dinah winced, hugging Raven. "I'm sorry you had kind of a scare. Anything I can do? Ice cream? Silly movies?"
