Third Floor Common Room [Friday Evening]

The fact that Bobby was in the common room was not, generally speaking, cause for alarm. The fact that he was in the common room kitchen area with a box of brownie mix might be, though, depending on who you asked.

Kennedy didn't seem too concerned from her spot on the couch. She did, however, look pretty pleased with how the t-shirts that both she and Bobby were sporting had turned out. The t-shirts that read "I can't help it if the ladies know a good thing when they see it".

The gaggle of snow-angels that had been following Bobby around all day apparently agreed with the t-shirt's sentiment, at least from the way they sighed dreamily every time he glanced their way. Bobby was pretty sure he'd seen one of them swoon, even.

"Is your world like Dinah's then?" Karla asked quietly. "Mistrustful of those born...different?"

Karla could sympathize, but couldn't really understand. In her world, being born with powers was the norm.

...If one discounted landens, of course. As the Blood often did.

"I'm sorry," Karla said, giving him a sympathetic glance. "Back home, the landens are afraid of us, too."

Occasionally with good reason, but details. "Is that why you don't come to Reserves? Because you don't like to admit you have powers?"

The whole concept didn't make a lot of sense, what with the way males were at home, but if Bobby said he wasn't a fighter, Karla wasn't going to argue with him about it. "That's cool. It's not for everyone, really."

She was tempted to explain all the other things the Reserves did, but she didn't want to start preaching at the poor guy. Especially not after he just admitted he wasn't comfortable about being open with his powers.

"Besides, I would never dream of arguing with the male who is in charge of the brownies," she joked.
