Shooting Range, Saturday Morning

It was Picnic Day. That meant the grounds would draw a crowd.

That meant Jak wasn't going to be on the grounds. He'd been aching for action for a while now anyway, and the Fandom range might not be as sophisticated as Krew's back in Haven, but it would give him a shot at getting the Vulcan barrel out for some more training.

So while everyone bustled outside, Jak was inside, his Morph Gun trained on the target, unleashing a stream of blue pulsing bullets as he worked on his accuracy. Almost came close. Almost.

It had been a while since Jack had been to the range, and he decided to fix that. Checked out a gun, set up a target, and started aiming.

Man, he missed this.

Triela needed to do something normal to keep from letting her obvious discomfort with her new appearance from being too obvious at the picnic. So the shooting range was the place to be.

It would also let her get used to moving around quickly with her breasts in the way.

And by the sound of it, someone new was on the range. Because she didn't recognize that particular gun.

Triela nodded in greeting, then paused. "Jak, right?" She wasn't entirely sure. He definitely looked different. And he had a rather large gun, which she hadn't remembered, but... he had those ears.

"..." Did he just talk. "Yeah."

"You look different."

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah. I suppose that is what happens." She eyed the gun. "Nice piece."

"So it seems." Again, he was talking. She smiled slightly. "Don't let me keep you." Which was Triela's oh-so-subtle way to suggest he should shoot so she could see if he was as good as it had sounded like he was.

A slow smile spread across Triela's face. "You're pretty good," she understated.

Then, because she couldn't help it, she added: "Maybe nearly as good as me."

Whether it was or not, it didn't even occur to Triela to take it as one.

"Why not?" she shrugged. Then, in one smooth motion she stepped forward so he wasn't between her and the target and drew the pistol from her shoulder holster to put five shots down range. Three to the head, and then two in the heart.

Triela smiled almost in spite of herself at the compliment. "I've been doing this for quite a long time," she explained as she reholstered her pistol.

"A couple of months," she repeated, eying the target again. "You're extremely good, then." Natural aptitude. And maybe some physical enhancements.

"So I suppose I'll be seeing you around more, huh?" Considering how much time she spent on the range, if he started hanging out there too...

Luckily it was big enough that the two of them wouldn't crowd the space.

"Aaaah," Triela nodded. "This little trip wasn't your plan, I take it."

She knew aaaaaalll about that one.

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Triela considered that. "And he thought that sending you here would help?"

Was the guy an absolute idiot?

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, there's some merit to that," Triela allowed. "But when you run a mission right it doesn't matter if they know you're coming." So it wasn't much merit.

Triela shrugged a bit unhappily. "You get used to it, though." She certainly had. Even if she did spend a lot of time itching for a mission.

"Yeah. Well, maybe you'll have better luck with that than I have."
