3rd Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Bobby's ability to somehow procure massive amounts of food had not deserted him, as evidenced by the fact that currently in the common room there was one (1) Bobby Drake, a stack of the last three (3) issues of Rebel Justice Unleashed and one dozen (12) pizzas of various varieties.

The common room was open and Bobby was perfectly willing to share... the pizzas, that is. Persuading him to share comic books might be a more difficult task.

[ooc: bored. avoiding doing anything resembling something productive, at least until I have to go back to school tomorrow.]

"There's plenty of it," Zayne said. "Maybe too much of it, actually."

Arthur blinked up at the guy he didn't recognise.

He didn't recognise half the people he actually knew, though, so that was all right. "It's the dorms," he said, shrugging, "I expect an army."

"Good point. Give it enough time and there might be so many people we need more food," Zayne said.

"Twelve pizzas is downright conservative," Arthur spoke. "At least, without a cook making more as we eat. I believe it's also custom to put something really obnoxious on on the Teevee and for everyone to cluster around pretending like they're enjoying it."

Arthur had his own ideas about common rooms. "It's quite fascinating."

"What if people are actually enjoying what they're watching?" Zayne asked.

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-01-03 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"I think that's just a fib people make up to make themselves feel better about watching teevee all the time."

[identity profile] cataclysmicluck.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"But why would they watch it if they didn't enjoy it?" Zayne asked.

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-01-03 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps it has some insane hold over them," Arthur said, shrugging. "I don't know. It just seems to happen a great deal."

[identity profile] cataclysmicluck.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I did spend some time watching a show in a language I didn't recognize last week even though I wasn't sure what exactly was happening," Zayne admitted. "You might be onto something."

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-01-03 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Exactly!" Arthur decried, triumphantly. "That's the way I see people around me watching the teevee. They don't know why. They don't know what. But something draws out the idiot in them."

Oh, wow, Arthur. That was very flattering.

[identity profile] cataclysmicluck.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"I wouldn't go that far," Zayne said. He was pretty sure Arthur didn't mean any offense, but that was still a little harsh. "Two people fighting can be entertaining even if you don't understand why they're doing it."

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-01-03 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"In person, maybe," he argued, "But on the teevee?"

[identity profile] cataclysmicluck.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Trust me, it was. It was horribly fake, and then there was hair pulling," Zayne said. Hearing himself say it, he wouldn't be convinced either.

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-01-04 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm still not seeing it," Arthur said, sounding decidedly unimpressed. "I mean, maybe if it was hockey or something of the like, but if you want that you could just... tell some girl some other woman said her hair looked rubbish."

Oh, was he glad Morgana wasn't here now.
