3rd Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Bobby's ability to somehow procure massive amounts of food had not deserted him, as evidenced by the fact that currently in the common room there was one (1) Bobby Drake, a stack of the last three (3) issues of Rebel Justice Unleashed and one dozen (12) pizzas of various varieties.

The common room was open and Bobby was perfectly willing to share... the pizzas, that is. Persuading him to share comic books might be a more difficult task.

[ooc: bored. avoiding doing anything resembling something productive, at least until I have to go back to school tomorrow.]

"Same," Chuck said, giving her a nod. "Where are you coming from, Claudia?"

"Minneapolis, you?"

"New York City," he said. "Can't say I've ever been to Minneapolis before, sorry."

"I'm pretty sure a lot of people have never been to Minneapolis."

"True. It's not exactly known for it's hopping urban nightlife."

"Hey, it has its moments. And a far lower incidence of giant monsters or horrible serial killers."

"The giant monsters of New York are a myth," Chuck said. "Started by confused tourists who have never seen a sewer rat before."

Whatever, Chuck, you've never seen a rat before either.

"I'll keep that in mind next time I'm in that area."

"Good," Chuck said. "I won't defend the serial killer thing though because, yeah, they're out there. Not where I live but, like, in Queens."

"Where do you live, then?"

"Manhattan. The Upper East Side," he said. That didn't mean too much to people around here, Chuck noticed, but he added it anyway.

"That's, like, the super ritzy end, right?"

"Ritzy is one word for it, yeah," Chuck said with a nod.

"So how'd you end up in exile in Maryland?"

"Got arrested," Chuck said easily. "Dad sent me here as punishment."

"And they keep telling me this isn't a reform school."

Chuck smirked. "It seems that way at first but, trust me, it gets better. Then worse when something tries to kill you. Then better again."

"The school tries to kill people."

"Um, no, the things attacking the school try to kill people," Chuck clarified. "The teachers are actually really nice."

Ah, they were back to the hazing again, huh? She supposed she shouldn't be surprised. "Things."

"Yes. Things," Chuck said. "Zombies, vampires, guys with pickaxes that you eventually start sleeping with..."

Yep. More hazing. "Pickaxes. That's new."

"They hurt," Chuck said, unconsciously rolling his shoulder. "But that stuff doesn't happen too often."

"So I totally shouldn't be surprised if I never see it, right?"

"You should consider yourself lucky if you never see it," Chuck said. "But you will. It's inevitable."
