3rd Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Bobby's ability to somehow procure massive amounts of food had not deserted him, as evidenced by the fact that currently in the common room there was one (1) Bobby Drake, a stack of the last three (3) issues of Rebel Justice Unleashed and one dozen (12) pizzas of various varieties.

The common room was open and Bobby was perfectly willing to share... the pizzas, that is. Persuading him to share comic books might be a more difficult task.

"Yeah, I needed a lie-down after the picnic yesterday," Roy admitted. "And I thought I was used to crazy stuff happening, y'know?"

"Seriously," Dru agreed. "I'm used to weird." And it still felt very strange to admit that. "But this place takes it to a whole new level. I'm still debating if it's a good thing or a bad thing."

"I'll have to get back to you on that," Roy said. Although the potential to take photos of Teeny Bruce Wayne doing Normal Teenager Type Things was hilarious.

"I'm holding off final judgment until I see if something jumps out of the shadows and tries to eat me for dinner one night," she said. "But for the moment, I'd say it's a pretty good place."

"If it does, just yell and I'll come shoot it for you. Except they made me check my gear." Roy made a face.

"I know. I had to check my knife." Not that she was an expert with it, but she was competent enough to use it for defense. "And I suppose now that I know there's a range, if my dad sends me a gun, I'll have to check that."

"Yeah, I'd think that if they made me check my bows, they'd definitely make you check a gun. I mean, it's pretty hard to hide a longbow, y'know, but a handgun..."

"It's not worth getting busted for," Dru replied. "And dad would kick my ass for carrying a loaded weapon around if there's not an actual threat." Of course all bets were off if there really was some sort of threat around.

Well, that didn't even need to be said, it was so obvious. "I wasn't saying you would," Roy said reassuringly, "I was just saying what the reasoning's likely to be."

"Yeah, you're probably right," she nodded. "And as long as we can have access to get to the range when we want to practice, all's good. I'd like to see what you can do when you're up to it." Strictly out of professional curiosity of course.

"I'd love to show you what I can do," Roy said. He couldn't help the innuendo on that. It came from being raised by Oliver Queen. "Just give me some time to get back in shape before I try anything too fancy."

Dru's experience with teenaged guys was fairly limited so it took a her moment to catch the innuendo, and less the a moment after that for her cheeks to turn slightly pink. "Yeah," she said, trying to not be a complete dork. "Rushing into things and doing too much too soon only means it'll take you that much longer to get back in shape."

"Speaking of being in shape, did you hear they have a Fight Club here?"

"Yeah, the last thing I wanna do is pull a muscle or something at this point. And I heard about the Fight Club thing. I might check it out. Haven't decided yet." He was, after all, currently out of the business.

"Kennedy, my big sister, was telling me about. I'm definitely going to check it out," Dru replied. "Dad's big on training, so he'll be happy I'm keeping up my practice.

Roy couldn't give less of a damn what his own 'dad' wanted or didn't want at this juncture. "That's cool. Getting out of practice is never really a good idea."

"Where I'm from, it'll get you killed," she shrugged. "At least in my line of work." Okay, her dad's line of work. But she helped as much as she could.

"I don't know, it all depends on how you feel about a zombie or some other nasty trying to eat you for dinner," Dru told him.

"Sometimes you can't," she said. "So I'll keep up with my training. I have no desire to be an appetizer."
