3rd Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Bobby's ability to somehow procure massive amounts of food had not deserted him, as evidenced by the fact that currently in the common room there was one (1) Bobby Drake, a stack of the last three (3) issues of Rebel Justice Unleashed and one dozen (12) pizzas of various varieties.

The common room was open and Bobby was perfectly willing to share... the pizzas, that is. Persuading him to share comic books might be a more difficult task.

[ooc: bored. avoiding doing anything resembling something productive, at least until I have to go back to school tomorrow.]

"Dru," she replied with brief nod of her head. "What do you think of the place so far?"

"I think we're surrounded by crazy people. But they're at least interesting."

Technically with her talk of the Real World, Dru would probably be considered one of the crazy people. Hopefully she'd at least be interesting as well. "I've heard some stories," she admitted. "It's hard to know what's real and what's just teasing. I'm trying to be open-minded."

"I admit, a lot of it is plausible in a 'weird science' kind of way, and they've got their stories straight. But, come on. How gullible do they think new kids are?"

"Apparently pretty gullible. Especially about it raining food," Dru said with a laugh. "But some of the other stuff? Well, I've seen enough weird things were I'm from to be pretty open-minded about what's real."

"Raining food is easy. You just have to get the food up there, first."

"I don't think that's what they're talking about," she shrugged. "But I'll keep watch if and when it starts raining quesadillas."

"Man, can you imagine the property damage if it did that?"

"Cheese everywhere," Dru laughed. "At least it's better then turkeys dropping from the sky like on that old sitcom."

"Or the whole biblical rain of frogs or whatever. Tortillas would at least have greater wind resistance to slow them down."

"Or carry them farther. Like particularly tasty frisbees. The dogs on the island would be in heaven. But," she said. "I'm still wondering about the whole waking up as a different gender thing."

"Yeah, my big sib decided to give me a bunch of boxer shorts as a welcoming present."

"At least they're making sure you're prepared?"

"Making sure I'm paranoid and know my place in the social order is more like it."

"I know," Dru agreed. "I've done the new kid thing often enough that I've learned to not trust everything everyone says."

"Me too. People'll tell you all kinds of stuff."

"Like the wrong way to a class or other stupid things," she nodded. "I've never seen anything this elaborate though."

"Craziest one I'd heard anywhere else was the whole 'pool on the roof' deal."

"I think there's a book written of common lies to tell the new students," Dru replied. "Because I know I've heard that one."
