3rd Floor Common Room [Sunday Afternoon]

Bobby's ability to somehow procure massive amounts of food had not deserted him, as evidenced by the fact that currently in the common room there was one (1) Bobby Drake, a stack of the last three (3) issues of Rebel Justice Unleashed and one dozen (12) pizzas of various varieties.

The common room was open and Bobby was perfectly willing to share... the pizzas, that is. Persuading him to share comic books might be a more difficult task.

[ooc: bored. avoiding doing anything resembling something productive, at least until I have to go back to school tomorrow.]

"There are probably great scientists from everywhere," Kurt answered. "It's pretty universal, that way."

"True. But Germany and Japan have been kind of leading the way in the last fifty years." Claudia tilted her head. "Well, until Switzerland decided to build themselves a giant super collider. And Finland invaded the cellphone market."

"I guarantee you, New York has tech that would put them to shame," Kurt told her. "At least, where I come from, anyway."

"I dunno, man, I read that Japan had a robotic exoskeleton that allows the wearer to lift, like, ridonkulous amounts of weight."

New York had one of those! Except it was in Fandom right now.

"I know two or three people that could probably build one of those without much trouble," Kurt told her.

"Yeah, them. And one who got me trapped in a pocket universe. THAT was no spring picnic, let me tell you."

Claudia froze for a split second. "A pocket universe."

The very concept was at once fascinating and kind of terrifying. If one followed the theory that effective teleportation required movement through a parallel space outside of time, then --

"Yeah. That must've totally sucked."

"Yeah, but not as much as the..." He trailed off.

"So, yeah, other than that, TOTALLY normal."

Claudia was distracted enough with the pocket dimension concept to only peer at Kurt with a small amount of suspicion.

". . . You know, you should totally work out a better explanation than 'it's a hallucination' for the blue guy. Considering what everyone around here's been spouting, you could probably totally convince people he's a demon." She shrugged. "Though 'heretofore unknown physical mutation' might be better. This school needs more science in its explanations."

It was the being mistaken for a demon that he was trying to AVOID, after all.

"Sweet!" Claudia bounced and grinned, then paused. "Is it okay if I hug you? Or would that be weird?"
