The Salle, Monday Morning

Getting to go back to regular practice after the time spent in New York? Priceless. At least if you asked Arthur, who was up good and early that morning to do just that. His muscles were aching after a while, having grown a bit lazy over the past few days despite his best efforts, but he took that as a good thing. Building.

He might have been a mite bit focused on his own drills today, yes; he was even more precise than usual. The practice dummy appreciated it.

"Bungee jump. I'd snap back," Dinah said, knowing the explanation wouldn't help much. "And I'm not suicidal. Just... you know." Desperately in search of distraction? "Not easily entertained. That's all." Thwap!

"It's like five feet," Arthur informed her. "You'd drown. Anyway, it's not like I really care that much. Watch your upswing."

Dinah gave him a semi-wounded look, and said, "Well, that's why I can't do it here, Arthur. C'mon. Keep up." She modified the upswing, and compensated with the other side, going faster. "Maybe climb the Rocky Bits soon, though. If the weather lets up a little."

"No, Dinah, do continue your streak," he said, settling into a stance himself for when she was finished. "I'm interested to see what you'll do with an iced-over rockface."

Dinah gave him a patient look, resisting the urge to blow a raspberry at him. "Fine. Just the flying, until the weather's better." There had to be something else to do though. Dinah finished her eskrima drill, and turned back to Arthur, looking restless. "Morgana's going to train with us? Maybe?" Someone to fight, who wouldn't automatically beat her like Arthur did-- that would be cool.

Because seeing them fight twice at Fight Club, and Dinah win at least according to Morgana's player wasn't enough. Dinah did roll her eyes this time, then put away her eskrima, nearly skipping over to her sword. "Cool. It'll probably be at least a couple weeks 'til Fencing Club is up and running again, with the new semester. Oh, Reserves is still on Tuesdays, right?"

"That would do it," Dinah said, lips twitching as she started in on her first drill. Fast, faster, fastest. "You can't say that the bitchiest people wouldn't find it fun."

"Yes, and maybe as our first assignment, we can assault Atlas Gym," Arthur replied, without missing a beat. "Work through that and we'll try some hands-on practice." Hope you got your bruise kit, Dinah.

Bruises would be welcome! Or at least, the chance to try to avoid them. En guarde. Dinah took position, and waited to attempt to learn and not get her butt whupped.
