Right Outside the Dorms, Thursday Afternoon

Somehow, the idea that the Magic Reserve ought to be more friendly came about. There were many ways possible to accomplish this goal, but they picked one near and dear to the hearts of Fandomites.

Cookies.

Well, this might have been a good idea had they asked Francine to make them, but that was not the case. Instead, the student body got to deal with the... concoctions that Merlin and Karla made for them. And since they were set up right in the entryway of the dorms, it made it that much easier for them to be seen.

Thankfully, there was a tray of J,GoB cookies there, provided by Tony so not everyone would lose the ability to taste.

Maybe, if you're lucky, Tony will take your money in exchange for NOT giving you a cookie.

Or booze. Maybe he has some booze.

... The sad thing was, Warren had been warned about these very same cookies not even a week ago, and he was still taking one. For curiosity's sake.

It was perhaps very much to his credit that, after the initial state of shock, in which his eyes widened and he stood stone-still for about five minutes, he managed to refrain from making a face.

Claire stopped by the bake sale on her way back from her shopping adventure (taking care to keep the labeled side of the bag facing in, thankyouverymuch). She was forever grateful for her healing ability after she bit into the cookie.

Kurt happily took a cookie and shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

And... coughed a little. And made a face.

This must be some sort of hazing ritual, right? That was the only way to explain it.

He chewed, and swallowed, and pasted a fake smile on his face.

Jack was wandering around and managed to find cookies. Right outside the dorms. Like someone was reading his mind.

Someone might want to warn him that the cookies might be fatal.

Arthur did not have a cookie. Arthur showed up and took one look at the cookies and that was the end of it.

Merlin and Karla both got the look of are you trying to kill everyone at this school.

Karla looked very pleased with herself as she sat behind the table, a platter of 'cookies' stacked very high in front of her.

Every so often, she thought about adding a sign that promised '100% Love Potion Free.' So far, she hadn't. But the thought was there.

Once he'd recovered from his initial state of bewilderment (and, possibly, anguish), Warren made his way over to the one leader of the group that he'd actually met before.

"I don't suppose you'd be willing to sell me every last one of these cookies?"

Humanity had to be saved.

Karla beamed at him, so happy that their cookies were a hit with the newbies. "You would? Really? I knew these cookies would be a hit!" She lowered her voice conspiratorially. "We improved upon the recipe, you know."

Leda's looking blankly at the cookies had nothing to do with suspicions of love potions or anything like that. She simply had managed to forget that she was no longer qualified for the Magic Reserve until just now.

Tony hadn't actually experienced Karla and Merlin's cooking before today, so please excuse him for not stopping this trainwreck earlier. It was due to ignorance, not malice!

He'd dropped off his cookies with Merlin earlier, but he finally made it to the table a little late, having spent part of the afternoon at auditions for Richard III.
