It was days like this, Angela was really glad they actually didn't have a team to cheer for at this school. They'd most likely have to cheer outside at some point if they did, and God it was cold out there at the moment. Enough to put her off.

Here now at least it was heated, there was the usual loud peppy music and water set out already before she started pulling out mats. More her sort of thing, definitely.

Or think about going to sleep. A lot of people do.

Hannibal was a little more somber than he had been earlier after trying to make Kate feel better but he was there, sitting on the mat and staring up at the ceiling.

All that talk of graduation might have had something to do with the mood. He was repressing it. Very well. Or something.

Claire had a lot on her mind, but sat down on the mat and started to stretch.

Priestly . . . didn't have a lot on his mind. Nor was he somber. He was, however, pondering a nap as he warmed up.

He was a big fan of naps.

Sam had no interest in sleeping, as least not at the moment. He was perfectly content to stretch out and just be around everyone again.

The hot leader was always around and if his toe was tapping to the peppy music, people should not be surprised after a year of this.

Plans for tryouts? Another cheerleader sponsored sleepover party? Anything else we'd like to do?

"The last sleepover was fun," Hannibal volunteered, "so we should do that again. I'd suggest outside but I know all the girls would whine about the cold."

He was teasing. Mostly. He knew some would do that thought.

"And some of the boys," Angela threw back, smirking a little. She'd heard enough complaints about her cold feet from him to tease.

"Not the hardy ones," he countered. "Only the weak ones."

And that was not him.

"Yeah, you'd never complain about cold, would you?" Never.

"Nope." He shook his head. "I leave that for you, babe."

"Mm, you liar." As if she'd forgotten hearing him complain about cold. Unfortunately she had no proof. Just her own memory. Sad.

"But no, I think maybe camping trip better saved for a few months time."

"You can't prove anything," he said and grinned. "My word versus yours."

That... was true. "I've got co-captain position of authority." Oh yeah, if he could use that in class as a TA, she could use it as an excuse here. "I think that makes me more trusted."

"Um, wrong." He shook his head. "Just because you're in charge doesn't mean you're anymore trustworthy than me. That's not how authority works."

"Well no." Look at politicians. "But it makes people think I'm all responsible." More to the point.

"I could easily refute that," he said, smirking. "I know the truth."

"Which is?" Angela prompted.

"That you'd rather have fun and be irresponsible," he replied, smirking. "Being responsible isn't a lot of fun. And you're all about that."

... Okay, fine, being responsible was boring, and Angela had no real response other than to stick her tongue out at him.

Which really helped to prove her point. Really.

Hannibal just crossed his arms and grinned. His point was proven. He thought he'd won.

"You have not won."

She knew him too well. Far too well.

"Pretty sure I did," he said and grinned wider. "You can admit it, I won't mind."

"Oh, I know you won't." Which didn't mean she was going to do it, just shake her head with a grin.

"I'm not saying it." Just to make sure he knew that.

"You're thinking it," he said and laughed. "I can tell. That's enough for me, babe."

"Dream on sweetie," she said, happily smug. "Dream on."

Hannibal still thought he'd won and he was just going to continue being smug himself. He even blew her a kiss to prove that she hadn't won either.

"We definitely need to have tryouts soon," Claire said. "Most of you are graduating. Plus I was talking to a few people about trying out."

One day we'll get back to having a rota. One day!
