3rd floor common room | late afternoon | wednesday | 20 january

Jonas was finished with classes for the week. Despite having been on the island for awhile now, having copious amounts of free time was still a foreign concept. He wasn't expected to volunteer everyday in preparation for his Assignment or to spend set amounts of time anywhere. He could just do what he wanted.

That thought had led him into the common room to be able to spread a few books on a few different subjects out. Some of the books were hidden (because they were...embarrassing to say the least) and some were more outwardly visible (and less embarrassing).

Of course, despite the multitude of things to keep him busy, Jonas kept letting his mind wander off into next week's class and what might his greatest fear might be. The answer was hidden deep inside his mind and Jonas was steadfastly ignoring it.

Turning on the television helped that. It also meant his reading kept distracting from the television and the television from the reading. It was a vicious circle.

[open, sure]

"Well enough," Firekeeper admitted. "Just- there is little to do. So, we look for company."

She nodded. "Mine is only on- first and second day," she frowned, pausing in the middle there to try and remember the names of the days, and then giving up.

Firekeeper just stared at the screen, trying to follow what was going on in the story.

"They was yelling only moments ago," she observed. "And now they look as if they are about to mate." Human behavior was so strange.

"I have seen such, in those who was- not well, in the mind," Firekeeper admitted. "Perhaps these ones is also so?"

"I enjoy much television," Firekeeper admitted. "It is nice to have stories without reading. But these stories-" she wrinkled her nose at the screen. "Are not so good."

"Darkest Night," Firekeeper told him. "Is a show about vampires. It is very not-real at times, but in a way that is fun," she frowned, hoping that explanation made sense.

Firekeeper nodded. "Creatures in stories from this world," she said. She knew they were real, in some realities at least, but was pretty sure such things weren't supposed to be general knowledge. "Most is supposed to be wicked creatures, but this one is a 'detective', who help people."

Firekeeper laughed. "There is none of such," she assured him. "New episodes is coming soon!"
